..it's absolutely amazing here. I've been lucky enough to call it home for 2 years now though, and love it. But enough about geography...Key things about me: I'm honest, kind, caring, a little shy, but intelligent and witty. My family and friends are, above all, what I cherish most in life. Oh, and my dog...she might be an old grouchy lady, but she goes nuts with excitement every day when I get home from work. Can't ask for much more than that.I believe that everything in life happens for a reason, and I do my best to keep in mind that a silver lining is usually hiding somewhere. I love seeing people smile, so if it looks like you're having a bad day, I will always do my best to make you laugh, or send you some pretty AWESOME baked goods! It's what I do, and some say good food can heal the soul...it's worth a shot anyway :)I'm easy going, and laid back. More of an observer, less of a talker...at first. Once I feel comfortable though, I can be a total goofball and brimming with playful sarcasm :) I'm usually up for anything...I love spontaneity, long weekend trips, exploring new places, learning new things.I definitely appreciate and enjoy simplicity in life, i.e., no drama, no chaos. Just good fun, great friends, family and adventure.I've road-..solid blues though ;). I shoot, but don't hunt. Camping is always good fun, but I'm more of a "car camper" at this point. I wouldn't mind giving backpacking a try though. I also enjoy yoga, cycling, and rowing and traveling is always on the list of things to do.     Commence awkward self-promotion!Let's get the essentials out of the way first, eh? I am gainfully employed as a teacher; I love my job and all of its quirks, although it does tend to come home with me often. Also, I have an adorable toddler son who is with me half the time. Don't want to date someone with kids? I'm not your gal. My spawn will win in that decision every time. I'm currently one teeny tiny class away from finishing my master's degree. (Watch this transition about to happen!) I value education a lot and am hugely attracted to smart people who wear their intellect (regardless of whether or not that comes with a formal education) without arrogance, rudeness, or defensiveness. With that said, I admit that I'm kind of a grammar nazi and am unlikely to initiate contact with or respond to people who can't/don't communicate well in writing. I delight in progressive people who believe in the value of a sense of humor. I enjoy random oddities and trivia immensely, because, well, you just never know when it might be useful to know the statistics on the number of people born with a third nipple. Am I right?? (It's 1 in 18, by the way.) I also like traveling, although time and money limit those opportunities some for me, but I'm generally up for little road trips when I can swing them.Surely there is more to say, but we all know few people read profiles that become tediously long, so feel free to say hi if you are so inclined, and perhaps there's more conversation to be had from there!
