Commence awkward self-promotion!Let's get the essentials out of the way first, eh? I am gainfully employed as a teacher; I love my job and all of its quirks, although it does tend to come home with me often. Also, I have an adorable toddler son who is with me half the time. Don't want to date someone with kids? I'm not your gal. My spawn will win in that decision every time. I'm currently one teeny tiny class away from finishing my master's degree. (Watch this transition about to happen!) I value education a lot and am hugely attracted to smart people who wear their intellect (regardless of whether or not that comes with a formal education) without arrogance, rudeness, or defensiveness. With that said, I admit that I'm kind of a grammar nazi and am unlikely to initiate contact with or respond to people who can't/don't communicate well in writing. I delight in progressive people who believe in the value of a sense of humor. I enjoy random oddities and trivia immensely, because, well, you just never know when it might be useful to know the statistics on the number of people born with a third nipple. Am I right?? (It's 1 in 18, by the way.) I also like traveling, although time and money limit those opportunities some for me, but I'm generally up for little road trips when I can swing them.Surely there is more to say, but we all know few people read profiles that become tediously long, so feel free to say hi if you are so inclined, and perhaps there's more conversation to be had from there! ***I love dancing, I do it drunk or sober, to almost any kind of music. I like to think that in a different life I would have done it for more than the just the pure joy it gives me. Like maybe I'd be a famous ballerina or maybe I'd be a non famous back-up dancer for someone famous. I love karaoke. I like video games, reading, and almost all forms of art. I enjoy trying new things, and laughing at myself when I prove I am a total n00b, lol. I like to do things myself. I love road trips, even long ones by myself. Sometimes I can be extremely complex and at others, extremely simple. I am currently looking for an apartment. I just celebrated my year anniversary with my current job. I only have a semi-plan for my career path at the moment, right now I figure I'll hang out and see what happens. Most of the time right now I sit around and play video games, and go on road trips. I have quite a bit of family and it is very important to me to visit them often. I have been halfheartedly looking for a gym in the area. I am just scared I won't like them so I haven't committed to anything. I am a self proclaimed "fat girl" and I am not trying to lose weight. I do however; believe that exercise is an important part of being healthy. I also have strong opinions on food. I have strong opinions about lots of things, lol. I have a very strong work ethic and my job consumes a lot of my thoughts. I exaggerate quite often when I am speaking. I have been told its very dramatic, which I suppose is my intention. I like sharks and I really really really want a dog.Update ***I thought I might want to do a little update since I started this profile last year. I still live with my mother, because well... she's as good a roommate as any. I still am trying to get the financial part of my life into a better position, since leaving IL and coming back to MT meant I had to take a large pay cut. I have already picked out an apartment, its just a matter of reaching that goal. I like my job and plan on staying there for a long time. I work a lot at times, depending on what is going on there. I have been known to put in as much as 80 hours in a week. And yes, when this happens I am very tired and don't want to do much outside of work. I am on call ***. I have a crew that I am responsible for and I take that responsibility very seriously. I did find a gym I like and have recently joined it. This is very exciting for me. :) Getting back into Yoga, Tai Chi, Cycling and Swimming is something I've really been wanting to do. I still don't have a dog, and it doesn't look like I will be getting one anytime soon, since I rescued a kitten. I don't have the time for any more pets, even though if I wouldn't feel irresponsible I would have many many more. I try to go out once a week for karaoke. I have a standing date every other week to hang out with my dad. I am very busy, but I don't think this means I can't date. It just means I'm not able to be very spontaneous. :) I have met a few people on this site. Some of them have become great friends, some of them not. I still have hope.Update ***I am currently in the market to purchase my first home.I got a puppy. I just want to find someone that "gets" me. Food? Walk? Ice Cream? COFFEE!!
