I'm a bit of a night owl...so here I am at 1am filling out this profile. I've been wavering on joining for a while, mostly because I'm a very social person in my daily life and like to meet new people that way. That said, LA is a crazy city for dating and I thought why not? Might be fun. I own my own business, it's an entertainment website that I started about two and a half years ago. It's a start up so it's a lot of work and I still have another job to pay the bills working as a social media manager for brands, (so I work A LOT) but I love what I am doing and I know how to make time for people that are important to me! My professional background is in TV -Film and it would be great to meet someone with similar passions but equally nice to meet someone not in the industry : )I'm really close with my family and still have the same friends from childhood. I'm the type of person who is comfortable in almost any situation- I love meeting new people and trying new things. I enjoy hosting and having friends over, going to the movies, going out to eat, and hiking with my dog (although she is is getting a bit too old to make it up Runyon now). I'm outgoing, talkative, honest, loyal and will pretty much tell you anything you want to know...and then some! I love to tell stories. But I can be a good listener too. Clearly I love to talk...and write!I'm looking to meet someone I enjoy spending time with and see where it develops from there. I hope to find someone with similar interests but also who has their own passions and experiences to share. Someone who knows what they are looking for in life, someone that is social, and someone who is driven and enjoys being with a woman who has those qualities. As much as I like to always be busy- be it work or out with friends- I also enjoy a good night in on the couch with a blanket and a movie! And someone who can tell me when to slow down now and then and actually make me listen! I'm a bit of a goof ball too so hope you enjoy a girl that will make you laugh and be a total dork! For me, the number one quality is a guy that can make be laugh and can take a bit of sarcasm and banter. Of course, mutual attraction is important too. My only real deal breaker is lack of communication. We all have lives going on but if you disrespect my time, I will cut you out of mine. And not a big fan of smoking!Lastly, it would be nice to find a guy that is confident in himself but also comfortable enough to be vulnerable and sensitive and actually say what's going through his head...     Did you know that a majority of the male profiles on this site say, "no drama." I have a bit of reality to share with you guys: Girls are all drama and that is why you love us! Your mom is drama, your sister is drama, we are all drama- period. The level of neurosis varies but generally speaking girls are emotional and a little annoying. Sorry to break it to you. Not a fan of the no T shirt profile picture.I think it is time I put some effort into my dating life. Everything for me has been on hold because I have worked terribly hard in school etc. to get into the field of work I am in. I am forcing myself to step outside of my comfort zone and give this a shot. I am TYPE A all the way and other type A personalities exhaust me. I may not warm up quickly but when I do---I'm loyal for life. I've been in several long term relationships and am on good terms with all of my ex boyfriends. Not the kind of good terms that is cause for concern but if I were to run into any of them on the street no one would hide. ;) Education is of utmost importance to me. I need someone who can hold a conversation and challenge my beliefs on life, love, religion, politics and human nature. I am a horrible cook and I hate sports. I won't pretend to like things just to hang out with you. However, I will try anything at least once. If it is important to you, it will be important to me. People need to be independent and maintain an existence separate from their mate. You watch football and I'll read a book, shop, or visit friends. It's a good balance.My interests: architecture, philosophy, psychology, law, current events, politics, animals, my nieces and nephews, the outdoors, hiking, the beach, reading, music, relaxation, sleep, documentaries, wine, coffee, blogging, writing, insider trading (seriously intrigues me)..Favorite food is white trash comfort foods. (Seriously) Also, I love soup! and Hummus.I love R&B Music, a clean house, clean sheets, clean anything.I have a doctorate degree, no pets, no kids...and I don't want kids, ever. However, if you have kids that is great because I do enjoy kids. My traveling experience is limited, don't speak any foreign languages, never seen any of the Star Wars movies and don't want to. I have issues with expired food and weird pieces of chicken. No allergies. Oh...your mom will love me. Surprise me. Shower!
