About Me

Hi, I´ I grew up in WI, moved to Spain when I was 19 to go on a year-long study abroad program, fell in love with it, and ended up staying there for 13 years.) I moved out to LA to be closer to my family.ABOUT ME:-I looove going to the beach, so if you ever want to go, I'm up for it.-I play in a coed softball league on Monday nights.-I enjoy going to the gym and you will often find me there on a Fri/Sat night.-I'm really outgoing, and have never had a problem making friends/meeting guys, but I´m curious if I´ll find ¨the one,¨ so we'll see how it goes. :)-I enjoy going to upscale wine bars/lounges. Sports bars/dive bars can be fun, too. :) I hope you can be just as flexible.-I love to laugh at myself and, yes, I love to laugh at others while "people watching." Why do people go grocery shopping in their PJs? -I think the way someone decorates their home says a lot about them. I like warm, modern interior design.-I adore my family. My friends often referred to us as "The Cleavers." My parents gave me a childhood that most kids could only dream of. Their weekends were spent cheering me on at my sporting events-- they never missed a game/meet. When I had a weekend off, they would find other ways to have some quality time together. (art and historical museums, picnics, long hikes in the woods, gardening, BBQs...) -My brother, who is two years older, is still my idol and best friend. :-) Looking back, I am sooo thankful they made sitting down at the table as a family, for breakfast and dinner, such a priority. That is where a family becomes "a family." -I think honesty is the most important part of a relationship, and if not THE most important, at least it's at the top of the list. I was married to a spaniard for 7 years. Unfortunately, he had personal problems that he could not overcome, even with my loving support. My situation was unique, and I was forced to move on. It wasn't an easy thing to do, since I am a firm believer that marriage is a lifetime commitment. I put single down in my profile so I could be included in more searches. Sorry about that.-If I forgive you, I will forget it.     I'm not sure if meeting people online works for me (what I love about meeting people is the repartee, communication, personality, conversation, and common interests! I teach high school English and have for the past few years. I love teaching because I enjoy helping others grow in understanding and I think it is so important to be able to communicate well and think critically. I also teach dance.The most important person to me is Jesus. I don't like the term "religion"; to me it is a relationship. As for taste in music, etc., I love all types; since I dance ballet, hip-hop, modern, jazz, salsa, swing, and country, that covers a wide variety of music. As for food, I love ethnic foods, especially Indian, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian. I like trying new things, though I'm not a big risk-taker. Oh, I do like skiing too (snow and water). Something where we could talk and do an activity would be ideal; playing pool, going kayaking, dinner, coffee (though I prefer tea!), or something similar. Conversation is key!

    You have heard of the crazy cat lady, yes? I'm the crazy dog lady. I rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pit bulls and mastiff breeds. I have five dogs currently in my home, and I'm also a dog trainer by profession. I love dogs. But sometimes I like to be in a dog-free zone and communicate with actual humans. As much as I love dogs, they don't take me dancing; and they are lousy dinner company.I live in a century- I don't care for either. If you have huge typos in the first and only sentence you have ever written to me, I will question your intelligence. A few typos are fine. You will probably find some in this list.2. No terms of endearment in your first ***, please. They are creepy, not flattering.3. Taking a photo of yourself shirtless in your bathroom mirror is not cool.4. Taking a photo of yourself flexing in your bathroom mirror is even less cool. I love great abs. I don't love idiots.5. If you have photos of pit bulls or mastiff breeds sporting huge chains around their necks, we are not compatible... unless you are open to learning about tracheal scarring and the benefits of positive reinforcement training and a quality martingale collar. Otherwise, I rescue these dogs from people like you.6. If you say you have an athletic body type, your recent photos need to reflect athleticism and/or a fit body (which can be done while wearing clothing). If you have a beer gut, you need to list your body type as "average" or "a few extra pounds." Err on the side of underselling. I don't need a dude with a perfect body. But I do need a dude who is honest with me and with himself.7. If I can tell you haven't read my profile, I won't bother to read yours or respond to your *** ideal first date would be a hike up to Cleo's Bath in mid summer when the water is still high enough to fill the natural pools but slow enough to safely dip our feet. After a hike filled with stimulating conversation, silly stumbles, and great laughter; we decide the day couldn't possibly be over yet, so we head home to get cleaned up and dressed for dinner, drinks, and dancing.
