About Me

***Note*** I am contemplating a move and will be visiting next week. I am not 100% set on moving there, but could be persuaded :)I am a sarcastically witty, creative, eccentric, artistic gal. I have a wicked sense of humor and ten point vocabulary. I enjoy TV and movies a great deal. I would say I'm a bit of a nester, but have recently started going to the gym to counteract any effects of my need to regularly chill on my ridiculously comfy couch and watch entire series on Netflix...over the course of two or three days... I never understood, until now, how therapeutic working out can be. I always thought "gym rats" we're crazy, but now I know what it feels like to go in pissed off at the world and come out...well, still pissed, but significantly less so. I do enjoy hiking, skiing-both down hill and cross country, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing and various other outdoor activities. I don't get the chance to do very many of these often, but would make time if I had someone to do them with.I have my BA in Technical Theater with a focus in Costume Design and Construction...so what do I do for a living? I'm a retail manager. I know, wtf? I, however, am happy punching a clock and sewing as a hobby *** a means of primary income. I'm also good with power tools and most things technical. I can't draw, but I can make it for you :)I am a half-foodie. I can't say I'm full fledged because I do, from time to time, enjoy a disgusting McDouble, but I have a serious obsession with cheese and high-end meats. I'm not entirely certain if that sounds good or not.I am a true believer that bacon makes everything better.I swear more than anyone should (especially a girl), I do have complete control over it, though. I have tattoos and piercings with more planned. Tattoos only, though. I think I'm about done with piercings.I drive stick. I want a motorcycle. I have never "four wheeled" but I imagine it's fun. I must say I really enjoy mowing grass on a riding mower, but don't get to do it anymore.I like a larger frame on a man-be it tall or just "solid". I am not a tiny girl myself-I am definitely Voluptuous-so I like being with someone that can toss me around a bit. Did I just go there? I can carry a conversation, but I don't like to HAVE to. I am highly creative, so interest in things like woodworking, leather craft, metal smithing or any other art is a big plus. Oh yeah- and you get extra points for driving stick. Actually,you lose points in my book if you don't know how.). The list is MUCH longer.You might Like/Not like me because...I have tattoos, piercings, funky hair, I am pro-choice, support gay marriage and have a VERY hard time getting along with people that don't. Getting along with people at work is one thing, but when it comes to having a close friendship or even relationship, these are deal breakers.     I sometimes am a walking contradiction. I am laid back, but can't sit still. I like being out and about, but one of my favorite places to be is hanging out in my house. I am very outgoing and people like me (for the most part), but I can be shy in situations. Sometimes I wonder if I have ADD. My goal is always to learn something new. I have some hobbies such as soapmaking, sewing, woodworking, which have added to other things I have tried such as beer making, quilting, home improvement, drawing, hiking, golfing, etc. Have I mentioned I have a hard time sitting still? I am very easy going and usually have a easy time just going with the flow. I try to be low drama and hate drama...I think life has enough drama built in that I don't understand why people add to that.I like to stay active and have gotten into running. I'm not very fast, but I do it and it clears my head! Lately I've been slacking and need to get back into it. Definitely enjoy mud runs more than straight up 5ks! On the weekends, I try to go kayaking and it would be nice to find someone who likes kayaking also! Things I like to do (in no particular order): reading, remodeling my house (I don't mind getting my hands dirty and love tearing things up and putting them back together), watching movies, lifting weights, yoga, rollerblading, watching live music, listening to music, traveling (which I haven't been able to do much of lately), playing with my dogs, hanging out with my family and friends, exploring, learning, laughing...you get the picture! I will try almost anything once!I guess you would say I'm entertaining. At work, everyone says that I keep everything fun and interesting. I try to not take myself or life too serious, but I can be serious when necessary. Life's too short to be miserable and stressed over every little thing. So I just try to enjoy the ride!

    I am 33. I'm single mom of the greatest kid, even when his attitude is driving me nuts. We all know the kids come first. Unfortunately he's at the age where his friends or a girl comes before mom. I like to keep busy and do things whether by myself or with my friends. In the summer I take my kid camping and boating on the lake as well as plenty of day trips to whatever happens to sound fun. Need to get the boat on the water. Have a few things to work on. Til then it's kayak time. When Im with friends I go dancing, shopping, to the movies, dinner, the bar or just hang out around the house. Im sure there is more and it'll come to me later... There isn't much I won't do with my friends. Im not a bar fly anymore and I used to hate them but as long as its low key Im game. I love to dance tho... Too bad it seems my friends got too old to do it often. To describe me.. I'm fun and I will do my best to make sure that my friends are having fun and laughing. I will do almost anything for my friends even when they wouldnt do the same for me. If problems arise I will figure something out. I can laugh at myself and I do as often as possible. Life can suck way too often to not make the most of what you have. Life is meant to be lived so lets get to it.If you have questions ask away!! First date is all in who you are meeting.
