I'm friendly and funny, have a career I wouldn't change, a dog I can't change, and a quiet life I generally enjoy. I find myself single for the first time in nearly two decades, and I’m trying to figure out what this new, unanticipated life will be. So here I am, poised at the edge, wondering what will happen if I jump in.I love to laugh and am a very nice person (or so they tell me!), though not terribly outgoing. Luckily I'm quite capable of entertaining myself, so "alone" doesn't really bother me. I can be wicked funny, but can't tell a joke to save my soul. (Puns, on the other hand, are Very Good Things.....)Hmmm, interests… I enjoy history, particularly local history; board and card games (though most of my game playing is online at the moment – Words With Friends, anyone?); doing obedience work with my dog; road trips that last an afternoon, a weekend, a week. That could be a country drive on a Sunday afternoon or following Route 66 as it heads west. Physically, I am what I am. I’m spending more time out walking, but I’ll never be svelte or anything close. My attitudes are generally liberal, and I’m not religious. I don’t expect people in my life to share the same beliefs, but this is an area where opposites would probably not attract.I'm seeking a man who's ..... compatible. (It looks so simple, doesn't it?) Someone who's willing to start with a friendship, and hopefully build from there. Clouds, the colors, sunsets, sunrises, the wind, the birds that fly up so high....storms forming, shifting in the sky...the moon, the sun...northern lights...I can't wrap my brain around it so im always in awe. Lake superior is a place where I can experience peace. sitting on the shores or discovering an untouched beach to walk for hours. I am to a point in life that I want to share my interests, my joys with someone and really explore and experience their interests and what brings joy to them as well. We are created for relationship, created to express love. Why not keep searching for the opportunity to do just that. simple idea....coffee, cribbage, conversationbut let's talk about it...i'm sure we'll come up with an idea that would fit the uniqueness of our interests combined.
