About Me

I was raised in a family where faith, manners, responsibility, and doing the right thing were drilled into my head, so these things are important to me. I have good common sense, love to garden and re-purpose old things and would rather learn how to do something myself (if possible) than ask someone else to do it for me. I am fiercely loyal, more liberal than conservative, and I'm not afraid to speak my mind, (I have an opinion on just about everything) and respect others opinions as long as they are based on facts, not speculation or theory. I am an animal lover and have 2 cats and a dog. (cats were rescues) I'm not a bit spoiled and I'm generally very happy and content with my life. I can't see myself dating anyone entitled, arrogant, rude or insensitive. If you think you are more important than others, like to complain, or are looking for someone to cook and clean then please stay away from me! I enjoy "old classic" rock-n-roll and new country music. I've traveled to just about every state and like the mountains but love the beach. I have not dated for several years, and I'm not looking to spend all my free time with someone although would enjoy being in a relationship again. My schedule varies from week to week and I tend to be a very early riser. I will need to go slowly, spend time talking and getting to know you, so if you're not okay with that, then please do not contact me. I am also not looking for a professional dater, or someone who needs to be constantly going and doing to be happy.Added ***This may sound harsh, but if have trust or commitment issues or are just looking for the initial excitement of a new relationship then please pass me by. We all have been hurt by past relationships that have made us who we are today, but if you bring that baggage into every new encounter you will never be able to have a meaningful lasting relationship. I am a person who has a small group of long-time lasting friends not hundreds of people in my life that I barely know and I'm looking for the same in a partner. Added ***I will not answer *** say "HI", tell me why you are contacting me and what, if anything, attracts you to me and I will do the same. I am a reasonably intelligent woman and the daughter of an English and Communications teacher. I find spelling and grammar important and if you can't put together a cohesive sentence, we probably won't be a good match. The only thing I can tell you is money does not impress me ... Just be yourself, be honest about who you are and what you want and I'll do the same.

I keep a smile on my face! And I try not to take things too serious, life is too short not to enjoy it. I love to do anything that requires laugh and fun. Look for people who can enjoy their lived and don’t mourn much.

Honest, independent, adventurous farm girl, everyone is considered a friend until they crap on me. I ride a motorcycle, like camping and staying active outdoors. I am into fitness and healthy eating. Trying yoga but having trouble with the patience part of that! My hobby is stained glass and am teaching myself guitar. I am passionate, caring, and young at heart.Looking for interesting, honest, fun, mature man to hang out with. Someone who will treat me with respect. I don't go to bars to find someone and am still from the mind-set that the guy does the asking out. I am a Christian and have old-fashioned values, cussing and vulgarity are turn-offs, although a good off-color joke is not off-limits. I am looking for someone who takes care of their body and mind, who is not into material possessions, someone to share life with. I don't like the winter months so much anymore and hopefully can relocate to warmer climate in the future. Life's too short to be on a favorites list....send me a message *** for coffee somewhere. No long drawn out meeting in case there is no chemistry. Do not want it to be painful!

Hi. Thanks for taking a minute to stop by and read more about me. I have learned that some people say what you want to hear, and then they are nothing like what they describe. I am a country girl who enjoys the simple things in life. I love being outside walking, fishing, gardening, or just sitting in the sun. I hate drama and men that try and control me. Been there, done that, no thanks. I am witty and love to have a good time. I like to listen to bands and dance, movies, cookouts, cornhole, etc. I like all types of music depending on my mood. I can cry in my beer, or jam and dance around the room, just depends. Must not smoke. I want someone who is sincere, and not afraid to show, or tell me how they feel. I don't like people that are fake or pretend to be better than others. Communication is so important in any relationship. I love a man with a good sense of humor, and who likes to have fun. I am old-fashioned, so I like a man with manners. Unlike so many people today, I still have morals. I think too much of myself to be any different. So, if you are looking for 'that', move on to the next fish. I consider myself intelligent and I find an intelligent man easier to talk to. I have a 19 year old son who is the light of my life. He is super intelligent and, of course, handsome. lol. I am a home owner and financially secure. I am lonely and would like to find someone to spend some time with, even as just friends. If you want to know more, just ask. I try and reply to all my messages. I think that is the right thing to do. If someone takes the time to write me a message, the least I can do is acknowledge it. Have a great year. I wish everyone luck with their fishing. First date, should be somewhere we could sit and talk and learn more about each other, perhaps at a quiet restaurant. Or, if it warm outside, maybe we could go for a walk in the park and talk there. Or, I am pretty flexible, I just think for the first date, we should go somewhere quiet enough that we can talk and see if we are compatible and interested in getting together again.
