Oh geez, so new at this. I came from a background of working very hard - started working at a horse stable at age 11, pitching manure to earn my first horse (at 50 cents an hour). Worked my way up to training, showing, etc horses. Love horses. Unfortunately, no longer involved but wish I were. I work in Mutual Funds now at a bank. Would love to meet someone who is casual, loving, likes the outdoors or a quiet night at home, and travel. I like anything from having a couple beers with friends around a camp fire, to enjoying a great meal on the beach in the Caribbean. I enjoy drawing (art, horses mainly of course), music - still trying to learn guitar - lol. Love obscure books, great poetry. Love to laugh, am an excellent cook. Family comes first (love my nieces & nephews to pieces). I have been moved deeply by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, the Veterans Home, and other organizations. I am a good person who sees the good in people. At times this has not worked out so well and made me doubt my ability evaluate someone's honesty and character. I do not know why anyone would be dishonest about themselves or what they are looking for in a relationship, but, please, just be honest! I have to admit I like "real" men who know what they want yet are strong enough to be kind and gentle. I am longing for and perhaps fantasizing about putting my head on someone's strong shoulder and having him wrap his arms around me and telling me it will be ok. Of course there are lots of other reasons I'd like to be wrapped up in a man's arms:). I desire a best friend, partner, an I've got your back and won't abandon you at the first sight of a problem kind of guy. over the years I have been super-responsible and independent. I've been through a lot but have been blessed with the strength and humor to handle everything thrown my way. I have learned,however, that sometimes being strong means you can accept help.So, I am really looking for a partner, a man who will treat me as well as I treat him... And I just tried fly- fishing and am taking it up also. Sunday night I read the paper in bed and relaxed!I am so not a thing person. I have many interests. I love flower gardening, swimming or any water related activities, walking my dog, rollerblading, sports (Warning: Big NY Giants fan). I love to dress up and go out to dinner, theater, a bar once in a while. I have to tell you, though, if you stop by my house you might find me covered in dirt, mud, and sweat with my hair in a pony tail without a stitch of makeup on. If the weather is nice, I am outside. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I would like to have the man in my life make me feel special and sexy and desirable to him. Men are so silly not to realize that if I feel special and good about myself when I am with him, I will want to make him feel the same. And VERY IMPORTANTLY: if I feel confident about being sexually desirable, I would love to explore the depths of intimacy with my man. What on earth could possibly better than to have amazing intimacy and,of course, the special closeness that can only come with true,trusting loyal intimacy and the joys it brings? It says the longer your description of a first date, the more likely you will get a response. Call me silly, but a first date seems like it should be coffee or a drink in a mutually acceptable place.
