I guess I would describe myself as part teddy bear, part go-getter. I enjoy all types of activities, from watching sports, mainly baseball and football, to going to live entertainment venues. I also have a passion for performing and have been in various musicals in community theatres around town.My Christian faith is a very important part of my life. I attend mass weekly and sing in the contemporary choir, as well as singing in weddings and other functions. I have a malti-poo puppy who is my best friend. We spend lots of time together going to the dog park and taking walks. Being a dog lover is a very important part of my life. I have always had dogs and will always have at least one.I have a very fulfilling life with many friends, but am missing that one special ingredient to make it complete, someone to share my life with. I would like to find a nice trusting, sincere guy who also has a good life but would want me in it to compliment that life. My profile picture was taken recently, so hopefully your pictures are just as recent and truthful. I think a good first date is a nice casual meeting place where we can talk and get to know each other.

Hello,Self description is difficult for most of us and my hope is to present an honest view of my personality, desires, and needs.I will begin by saying that I choose to be a friend to myself. I have many good, nurturing friendships and am loved by many as I love them. I am grateful for all these friendships and I hope that I give them a portion of what I receive from them. I know first hand that God does turn bad things into good and many times it is demonstrated through other people. Without my family and friendships, I don't know that I would have weathered my storms as well as I did. I was married for more than 25 years (this is when you should offer BUT YOU DON'T LOOK OLD ENOUGH) and found myself as a single mother to a high school freshman. I had never lived on my own and discovered I could handle it, and handle it well. Here is one of my desires...to be married again but only to a GOOD man. As I said, I can live life single and will over a so so relationship. That high school freshman is now a rising senior at NCSU (go Pack!) and I am proud of the man he has turned out to be. I am a dog lover and any man who does not at least like dogs probably would not want to be in relationship with me. Current canines in residency are a silver lab and labradoodle. Needs....to continue to grow my relationship with God, work toward financial health, emotional health, and physical health. I do work daily on my relationship with God. Financial health in this economy, I must admit, requires diligence. As for emotional health, some days I find I am strong and other days - not as strong. Communicating and confiding with trusted friends and family helps this growth. Physical health requires more of myself than the others. I eat fairly healthy but fall short on fitness. Perhaps I need a partner?I enjoy about any kind of event - sports, music, plays, movies. I am outgoing and talkative and would talk to a wall if no one else is around. I confess, I make up songs about my pups and sing to them. I have an active library card and love to read. I read fiction, non-fiction, religious, spiritual, self-Good luck in your search! A place where we could talk and get to know each other.
