Like many people here, I am a transplant from somewhere else and absolutely love it. I'm not planning on moving back but do try to visit once or twice a year and we talk on the phone regularly. That being said, I do not have any drama with my ex and am looking gor the same.Though I admit I don't know a lot of people here, I do have a small group of friends that enjoy spending time with. I have either been finishing up school or working on developing my career in some other manner.. I can be a little shy at first but warm up quickly. I am not looking for a penpal but do enjoy getting to know someone a little through talking, texting, etc before actually meeting them. In a relationship, I tend to be very playful and affectionate. I enjoy TASTEFUL displays of affection. I have a wide range of interests so fit nicely in any situation. I love the outdoors and think the fresh air is good for your body and your soul. The heat and humidity here do not bother me. I also enjoy dressing up and going out. I enjoy dancing and would love to take either country dance lessons or salsa. I love animals but do not currently have time for pets of my own. I currently live on the West side but am contemplating moving closer to my work in the Galleria area. I enjoy working out at the gym and would love a workout partner. Well, I suppose I should leave something to be talked about when you contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. I don't really think you can learn much about someone in a 30 minute interview at Starbucks. I think a quiet lunch somewhere that we can sit and talk and get to know each other is perfect. It doesn't have to be expensive. I'm not going to be impressed by the amount of money you spend on me. It's the amount of thought that goes behind it and the comfort and ease of the conversation are important. If we are still enjoying each others company after that and ready to leave the restaurant but not ready to part company, maybe a walk in the park or on the beach or maybe we found that we have both been dying to see the same movie that just came out. I'll even spring for dessert and coffee after the movie if you want to go back and hit the restaurant again where the best first date you ever had started ;)

Everything in life, good or bad, is part of the adventure. It molds and shapes us into who we are and hopefully we learn and grow from each experience. Each day is a gift from God and we should look for ways to touch the lives of others with something as simple as a smile or a kind word. It’s how we treat others when no one is looking that really counts. I genuinely care about people and want to help even if it’s just listening.Life is too short so I attempt not to sweat the small stuff or take myself too seriously these days. A great sense of humor is a plus. I am looking for someone who can make me laugh and will laugh at all the crazy silly things I do (I know I usually do!). I am very easy going and not very hard to please……a flower picked from the side of the road means more to me than dozens of roses (although roses are great too! lol) I’ve been told I’m a fantastic cook….I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Cooking with someone while sharing a bottle of wine is the most fun. I love to travel…..exploring and discovering new places. I like to get away to the mountains or the beach even if it’s just for the weekend. I enjoy quiet times as well as being spontaneous. I would like someone who has some of the same interests I do but will also introduce me to new experiences. I am a romantic at heart and having someone special to share things with makes life that much better. There is a huge difference in wanting someone in your life and being needy……I’m sure you know exactly what I mean.I don’t like the question “what are you looking for?” It’s difficult to say because everyone is so very different. I value all of these things and just want to be myself with someone. Writing something in a profile is not the same thing as getting to know someone. It takes time to appreciate and understand the true character of a person. They say opposites attract and I think to some degree that is true, but having something in common to start with is important. Chemistry is essential and I believe when you meet the right person you just know.
