Looking for: man. In age: 48-58
I grew up in the country in Southwestern Va. (very close to Tenn.)I'm old fashioned in some ways and not, in others!I like to be outdoors, even if just for a walk. Like to go to the Rocks state Park and sit at the King and Queen seats, the view is amazing!I like most types of music, especially classic rock. Also love Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. I have a 23 yr. old son. He's a good kid. Works hard. Plays drums.I love to travel. Have seen some of the U.S. I've stayed at 5 star resorts & I've traveled "on a shoe string". It doesn't matter to me, it's the experience that counts! When I travel I tell the cab driver to take me where he would go. I have seen and done some "interesting" things that way. Also, enjoy meeting the locals that way. My 5 yr. I enjoy baking, cooking, especially on the grill. (I didn't say I was good, just said I enjoy:) I have a green thumb, plants have taken over my house! He's great! (And we're the exact same weight)Love boats and Harleys. (I have neither.Yet)I read books, not a Kindle. Books just feel better in my hands. Follow politics and current events. Much more interesting than reality shows.I like to get out in the country, the woods, the beach. Or go out with friends to hear music. I'm a free spirit. People say I have a great sense of humor. I have a serious side too. I like museums, the theatre and ANYTHING to do with history. But staying in can be great with the RIGHT person! I'm very Patriotic. I'm very curious, love to learn!! Am taking more pre-reqs for a better job in the medical field. Some things that bug me **************************************** *** If you want to message, text and/or talk indefinitely without ever meeting, I'm not the one. It's a waste of time and I lose interest. *** (Some people have nothing better to do, but I do) I'm here to meet someone for a relationship, not just "something to do" (like entertainment) If your pictures are so old I wouldn't recognize you...... No thanks, I don't want to go to your website and buy your book. Can't believe how many men are on here hawking their books. If you say you don't want any drama (what an overused line) ....you're usually the one with the drama. For all the commitment phobes, don't flatter yourself. It's a DATING site, not a "Hey I like his picture, marry me site", so relax :)Ok, sorry if that sounds negative, but some of these guys profiles....lol A place we could hear ourselves talk but not so quiet we could hear the crickets if there's a lull in the conversation. Hopefully we would've "chatted" enough to know that wouldn't happen! Music is always good!

Hi, here you are, so let me tell you a bit about myself. I generally get right to the point so this will probably be pretty short and sweet. I am always open to new things as long as it's with someone who I enjoy being with, that's what makes it fun. That being said here are some of the things I like to do, ride horses and bikes, I like almost anything that takes me outside. I prefer warm weather but I like to ski too. Hiking, swimming, gardening, cooking in or BBQ outside, eating out, dancing, movies or plays, concerts, (mostly rock) and even ballet (my daughter danced for years so I became interested in it). I enjoy museums and the zoo, too. I also love to travel. My kids are older now and don't need mom so much so I have more time to give to someone else, hopefully someone loving and kind. I am down to earth emotionally and in love. I see life as a wonderful adventure so, if your open to lifes adventures let me know. When meeting someone from the internet for the first time I think it would be a good idea to keep it simple. Maybe just meet for coffee, ice cream or a drink. A place where we can talk and get to know each other.

Friends tell me I'm funny, caring, smart, strong, compassionate and dependable. I am self employed, have been for over 9 years - I love the freedom of it. I am financially self sufficient- own my own home and putting one child through college with second one on the way. I'm a living breathing oxymoron (If you think I just called myself stupid, please don't bother to contact me-ever) I'm a suburban bohemian, a liberal conservative, a strong softy, an idiot savant in many things...I think you get the picture. I'm a bit of a round peg in a square holed world- which makes it rather hard to find a similar soul. I'm a mom to three young adults (the baby is 16 and getting more independent by the day). Time for mom to rediscover that yes, I"m a person too, not just a taxi, cheering section and guidance counselor...don't get me wrong, I love being a mom...just very ready to have a chance to be "me" again- and working on rediscovering who "me" is.I love live theater, the beach, amusement parks, museums, exploring new towns, red wine in winter, white in summer; conversation, getting lost in good book, PDA, cooking - comfort food is my specialty. But I think there is nothing better than to curl up on the couch with that special someone just cuddle and watch a movie. I am a home body- I love that people tell me my home is a comfortable place to be- inviting. I like to think it reflects who I am (in need of a little work, but homey and warm). What am I looking for? I am a conversationalist - I need someone looking for the same- with a sense of humor (points if you have a snarky or twisted sense of humor). Someone with an artistic sensibility. I am an odd mix of socially liberal and fiscally conservative with a generous helping of Libertarianism thrown in for good measure. My faith is important to me- want to find someone with similar beliefs. Basically- do you have a brain, a heart and a soul? If so I'd like to meet you.Good luck with your fishing. A great first meeting is a chance to get to know you and vise versa ...something casual- a long conversation over a cup of coffee. A first date that's a different story =) an unhurried dinner, with lots of conversation, a bottle of wine.
