About Me

Hi! I'm starting to understand how those mail order brides felt! Every time I come on this site, I feel like I’m flipping through a catalog – “Hmmm… I like that model – but, can I have these options, too?”I’m the real thing – my photos and data are current. I’m 99.9% natural – no additives and no preservatives. I’m top of the line, so no options necessary! Complex? Certainly, but in a good way! (Think about the amazing bouquet of a fine wine, or the complexity of a rose or peony.) I’ve been blessed with myriad talents and abilities and have had the opportunity to use them throughout my life. Some of them may surprise you!I expect the third third of my life to be the best yet, and would like to find a new friend and companion with whom I can share the adventure. I'd like to find someone in whom I can confide, who wants the best for me, and brings out the best me - and for whom I can do the same. If things evolve into a longer term relationship, that's great but I believe a strong friendship is the foundation. I’m not lonely or desperate - I just miss the friendship and companionship of a great man.I'm adventurous and love to be outdoors, doing almost anything which gets the sun on my face and the wind blowing through my hair - hiking, camping, sailing, or driving the twisty mountain roads (sorry - I’m not much interested in going fishing, and I'm not interested in decorating the back of your Harley). I enjoy traveling and exploring new places - I've been to all 50 states, and a few countries, but I have many more to "cross off my list" and am anxious to begin. I'm equally comfortable in hiking boots and high heels, so I won't be intimidated by activities requiring one or the other. (And yes - I can keep up with you!)I enjoy the arts - primarily the performing arts. Music is a big part of my life, but I'm probably the only person in the entire world who doesn't have a personal playlist. I do like most music other than rap, techno, heavy metal and like genres. I also enjoy theater, concerts and museums.Cooking is something else I enjoy and I hope you do, too - can I be your sous chef? Watching a man in the kitchen making a great meal is amazing. Quiet evenings watching the sunset or a crackling fire are wonderful, too, and I am content with quiet time to read or just be together (I don't have to fill the silence). I'm also happy to watch sports with you, although my favorites are football, baseball and ice hockey. You'll just have to forgive me if I get a little vocal during a game... I'm educated, intelligent and smart (yes, there's a difference), generous, compassionate, fun, amazing (that one courtesy of my friends), and optimistic. Well, you get the idea... I believe in continual learning, and am an avid reader often having ***books going at the same time on a variety of topics. I enjoy learning new things and will try just about anything (okay, I'd have to give serious thought to bungee jumping). I hope you like to learn too, as there are still many things I'd like to master. What can you teach me? Better yet, what can we learn together?I'm a Christian (though not "religious" – not under the law) and strive to live my life in a way which is pleasing to God. I also tend to be socially and politically conservative, so if this makes you uncomfortable, we're probably not a match. Sorry...     Hello, Gentlemen, So for those inquiring minds that would like some need to know "basic" things about me are that: I am fun, kind, loving, energetic, & hard-working. I love to laugh, live & love. I am sassy, classy, preppy and athIetic all rolled into one. I teach, but, I also, equally like to learn how to do new things that I have never done before. Those exciting new things and first time experiences are so amazing, so I definetly appreciate and cherish every moment of them whole heartedly! I still have a few of those “things” on my bucket list that I would like to accomplish. For ***, like going for a ride in a hot air balloon, learning how to fly fish, or to drive a stick shift. I like to get dressed to the nines, wear heels & go out on the town, sometimes just staying in and hanging out is fine, too. I have a chocolate lab; he is one of my pride & joys! I pretty much love to do anything with an "ing" like golfing, bowling, skiing, horseback riding, & dancing, etc. Music.. Moves the sole...if I feel it, I like it...rock...country, soul, the blues...stuff from the 80's, 90’s and oldies but goodies. I like going to concerts, the movies, and sporting events (not a fanatic just like my teams for whatever sports are in season, ‘specially the playoffs, Indy & The Masters & The US Open), etc., etc., and doing what you want to do, too, within reason:) I am healthy and try to stay fit & trim. I like to walk & hike. I really like to dance and if you like it too, that's a plus! But, honestly all of this is fine & well, because it’s about the connection, and that is what I am looking for, it’s that feeling you get when you meet someone who you can see yourself with no matter what you do together on a daily basis and with a future that looks promising. Bottom line I wouldn't expect anything from you that I don't expect in myself. Am the real deal and am who I say I am. So, be real & true to who you really are & who knows the rest is up to whoever crosses in each others path. A first real date... past the meet & greet stage... would be romantic and fun...spontaneous.. yet planned...dining & music & dancing...then.. nightcaps at new places with exciting adventures...or strolls w/ moonlight & stars ...imagination for exciting dates can be equally planned or surprised as long as there is a connection then the rest usually falls into place.

    Looking for fun and adventure? I used to say I'd try anything once, maybe twice, you know, just to be sure. But now that I'm a bit older, I may have to skip the skydiving.     Funny sarcastic and upfront girl looking for a straightforward, sweet guy who works hard and likes to have fun and relax. Family is important to me and my priorities are providing for my family and spending time with them.
