First dates are kind of awkward so I like to talk on the phone first and text out some of my nervousness. I go into the date with high hopes and a positive attitude. I really try to be myself because I'm not into dishonesty and don't like to waste anyone's time. Doing something fun always helps break the ice. Taking our dogs on a hiking trail or to the beach, going to a fun burger and beer restaurant, somewhere that's not too noisy, but not too quiet. There should be something around us to look at and comment on if we're at a loss for words. I'm actually a pretty easy going fun person to be around who is genuinely interested in meeting new people. My friends say I'm very upbeat and positive. I can dress up really nicely but also enjoy jeans and a t-shirt.
