Someone who knows and likes who they are...Confident and strong enough to enjoy being with a confident, independent woman. I would like someone who I can spend time with, travel with, dine with, go to the movies or spend an afternoon at the lake: in general to enjoy the joys and sorrows of life with...Someone who is not afraid to show emotion. I want someone who I can cook dinner for or who would be willing to cook dinner for me. I am looking for someone who will be honest, faithful, and is willing to risk the joy and hurt that inevitably comes with a committed relationship. Someone who is interested in knowing the good and bad of me and loves me anyway and is willing to be known in the same way. I have the ability to laugh at myself (and often do) and I want to share that laughter with someone.I love pretty much all music including alternative, country, jazz and classic rock but especially the blues. There is always a song playing in my head and my feet just move with the music.I am reliable and responsible and practical, but I can also be spontaneous. I am no angel, but I think I am a pretty normal, stable woman who dearly loves her family and friends - they are my joy.I am not a quitter - I keep trying until I get it right. I like who I am and I think I have a lot to offer to the right person. I have a lot of energy and like to stay active. I have been renovating an older home and I am nearing the end of the project.     How would my friends describe me? They tell me that I'm loyal, dependable and faithful. Geesh maybe I'm a yellow lab? They also tell me that I'm intelligent, quick witted , funny, compassionate, and usually able to see both sides of the story. I really enjoy great conversations and the subject matter is not important. Preparing a meal together and chatting about whatever is so much fun. And although my father claimed I was vaccinated with a gramophone needle, I do like quieter times as well. Humour is a must. Laughing is jogging for the insides. I do have a good sense of humour, somewhat offbeat perhaps and if you don't like puns and the odd play on words, I'm probably not a great match.If you have ever wondered what a Luddite might look like today see above. Not the most technologically advanced creature you will ever find. I do own a cell phone but it is rarely used. I believe in reading books you don't have to plug in to charge. My address book can be dropped and I don't panic with worry that it might have been broken. Although I'm comfortable being by myself, I'm hoping to find someone with whom I can share my life. There is a saying, "if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten". Might be time to change it up a bit.Hope you have success on your fishing trip and thanks for stopping by.P.S. As the old country song says, "just pass me by if you're only passing through". Not a one night stand. First date: I really find that a walk around town is a good start, as one gets to talk and walk without so much pressure, and you get to see all the sights and let the conversation go in all sorts of directions. Perhaps a tea or a coffee sitting by the river watching the boats and the geese and ducks is a nice touch too. A first date of a round of golf would be fun.
