Hi there, I have tried this a few times but have been unsuccessful. The reason I keep coming back is because I have to admit it is a good way of meeting people. My kids are all grown up, still two living at home, going into university next year and are in relationships. I have dedicated most of my life to them but now find myself alone alot with time to spare and quite frankly, lonely. Want to find someone who is a nice person that is interested in finding someone to hang out with, date, go out for dinners, go away on weekends and adventures and fulfill that emptiness. Not looking for an all consuming relationship where neither can breathe or be individuals. Independance is important to me. Although once I am committed, I am there for you no matter what. I am a size 16. I feel sexy and have self confidence. So I will let you know who I really am up front. I am not into games and certainly not into hurting anyone. I think of myself as a straight shooter who will be direct and honest and I expect the same. I am not a delicate flower who always needs to be taken care of but I do like some attention like any other woman. Hope there is someone out there for me. Would love to hear from you. For the first date, it is nice to go somewhere where we are both comfortable to get to know each other. Go out for a drink, to a restaurant for dinner, for a nice walk in the park, whichever one is fine with me.

'If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.' Marilyn MonroeI am looking for someone who likes to laugh and have fun - who has a sense of adventure (no couch potatoes please). Someone who knows and likes who they are...Confident and strong enough to enjoy being with a confident, independent woman. I would like someone who I can spend time with, travel with, dine with, go to the movies or spend an afternoon at the lake: in general to enjoy the joys and sorrows of life with...Someone who is not afraid to show emotion. I want someone who I can cook dinner for or who would be willing to cook dinner for me. I am looking for someone who will be honest, faithful, and is willing to risk the joy and hurt that inevitably comes with a committed relationship. Someone who is interested in knowing the good and bad of me and loves me anyway and is willing to be known in the same way. I have the ability to laugh at myself (and often do) and I want to share that laughter with someone.I love pretty much all music including alternative, country, jazz and classic rock but especially the blues. There is always a song playing in my head and my feet just move with the music.I am reliable and responsible and practical, but I can also be spontaneous. I am no angel, but I think I am a pretty normal, stable woman who dearly loves her family and friends - they are my joy.I am not a quitter - I keep trying until I get it right. Lessons learned make me a better person. I work hard, I have a strong sense of loyalty, a good sense of humour, which is often more apparent after a couple glasses of wine, and a strong faith in God. I like who I am and I think I have a lot to offer to the right person. I have a lot of energy and like to stay active. I have been renovating an older home and I am nearing the end of the project. I get great satisfaction from a job well done. The baggage I carry is light because it is full of love, gratitude and playfulness. If yours is heavy with bitterness and regret, then you are not the person for me.
