Hi There, I am easy going, have high standards when it comes to a person's character, but I know how to have fun. I am close to my family and enjoy a variety of people. I have a job with a lot of interaction with people, and meet people easily, but would like to meet men from places other than the small area where I live and work. I have many interests, love to read about the greater world, and am a NPR and public tv geek. Humor is very important, and having screaming fun at times is necessary. Even things you hate to do can be enjoyable with the right people. I don't really think you can get a good sense of people through electronic communication, so I prefer to share more in person. Oh, and the mixed color hair - is brown with some well-deserved gray. Two years of German for undergrad, but really don't remember how to speak well.Please understand that it is not smart or safe for women to respond to messages or profiles without photos. A first date can be anything enjoyable - a country fair, the aquarium, or a show, a good movie, a hike or an afternoon on a boat. It takes a couple of meetings to know if you want to go on an actual date, so *** first date, perhaps a first meeting is more in order, something simple, like over coffee or a simple walk in the park.

I am a loving, loyal woman looking for a man who can appreciate me. I am looking for that someone special who makes me light up when I see them and I do the same for them; someone to talk to about my day; someone to go to dinner and a movie with or just stay home and watch tv. I am not high maintenance and have my prioritties in order at this stage of my life. I like to go for walks but I would not describe myself as athletic. I am a Christian and involved in church activities, specifically I am on a Worship team at my church and sing solos now and then. I like different kinds of music except rap or heavy metal rock. I want to find someone to share my life with but I am very comfortable in my own skin and being by myself. I am not "desperate" to find someone but I'd like to find someone and if I don't find the right person I am okay being on my own. What I mean is, I won't get involved with someone who is not good for me or destructive in their behavior or lifestyle. I don't play games and am not looking for someone who does. As I write this I think it sounds a little abrupt but I'm not out to waste my time or anyone else's. If you feel the same way I do, I'd love to get together over a cup of coffee initially and see if we have anything in common! Initially, I think meeting for a cup of coffee for a specfic time frame is the best 'first' time meeting. I think you usually have a good idea right off the bat whether you click with someone or not. If there is mutual interest to meet again for what I would actually consider the first real 'date', meeting for just a glass of wine or a drink, or dinner would be great. I think we would need to guage that based on our first impressions. I envision the first 'date' being dinner (doesn't matter where, I'm not high maintenance), maybe a glass of wine (or not) but hopefully great, non-stop, mutual conversation getting to know more and more about each other.

I'm a single mother, whose daughter is in college. My daughter and family have been my main focus. I am pretty quiet unless you know me. I decided that it's time for me to get out and explore the world and what it has to offer. I was a TWA brat, and still enjoy travelling. I used to love to go dancing, bowling and to concerts. I pretty much like most music. Can't really stand much rap, blues or bands that I can't understand the vocalist. Newest band I recently discovered how much I like is Volbeat. I enjoy watching tv and movies. Don't care much for horror or reality tv. Main shows I watch are NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Hawii 5-O and lately Sons of Anarchy. I have been around dogs all my life. I am not a hardcore fisherman, but I do enjoy it. This is the first year I haven't been at all. My idea of a first date would be pretty light. Maybe lunch somewhere that's not super loud but interesting. I am pretty quiet when I don't know you. Maybe somewhere fun to break the ice.
