About Me

So here I am staring at a vast void called cyberspace (staring and staring....). It's the new way to date so I am told. Me...well I never thought I would be dating this way for sure!! But hello 21st century. I have real relationships in my life; nothing fake. I enjoy laughing at life, but have had quite a few sorrows as well. I decided a long time ago to let Southwest Airlines and God handle all baggage, because I don't need anything more to haul around. Not into funding others, but into faith, and leave the rescuing to God. Since God is on rescue call ***he will be happy to assist your funding needs anywhere, which includes Nigeria, Congo, Mozambique, etc. (Had to write this for scammers - got the script down pretty good) Yes one would think if they do leave the country they would have enough money to get home!! I do have common sense. I do have a toolbox of my own, and can throw a hammer to the wall to hang a picture, however I have been known to miss the nail, but hey give me an A for effort! Geezz I hate that when that happens! I can't decorate according to my best friend...she said Country hearts and geese of the pink and blue variety are out dated, so we comprised and settled for doilies ***, the house is looking pretty good I must say! I do know how to put a band-aid on nicely , and oh by the way, I do know CPR! I can even take a pretty good temp! I am in short, a real deal who would like to meet another real deal and perhaps enjoy a "meaningful" relationship. I love classical music, soft rock. Sorry, no Hip-Hop or Rap! TV (Don't have a lot of time for TV) ? well NCIS, Criminal minds, Burn Notice, and How I met your mother for starters....what do you like? FYI: For those of you who follow your astrological sign........ So, welcome to the pond of life - Happy Fishing! Casual, calm, informal, no drama, sounds good to me. I just don't wanna go meet momma the first date ok?

Hi! It is kinda hard to write about myself on here. It is hard to put it in words. I will try to write a little. Mostly I like laughing and enjoying life. I am an outdoors person, who likes to ride motorcycles, BBQ's, family and friends. I like gardening, just all kinds of things. I also like tattoos!! So if you don't sorry to say you problably would not like me because I do have one or two or three........But I will say I have a heart of gold. On a first date maybe meet for a drink, or a bite to eat. Really depends on the situation. Maybe a movie, picnic.

I don't want a perfect person. I just want someone to act silly with, who treats me well, and loves being with me more than anything.

I subscribe to a "Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh a lot, word hard, give freely and be kind" way of living, where integrity, honesty, trust, laughter and kindness frame my picture of love, life, levity, and everything that is boldly colored in between. I believe that "coloring outside the lines" promotes greater self-discovery and risk, both of which are extremely important and yes, attractive, sexy and desirable, to me as a writer, educator and most importantly, a parent. When we restrict ourselves to a neatly designed and prescribed, flawless template of how we're supposed to look and behave, we inevitably are not being our authentic selves. For me, to embark on a relationship not being who we are is inevitably destined to fail because in the end, it's based on pretense and falsehood***not the ideal foundation for a loving, lasting relationship. My mission as a special educator is to individualize *** broken and bitter high school kids who have been through serious and often, life threatening traumas in their lives, where school took a back burner to just making it through the day. Our mission as loving and caring educators is to restore their faith in "man/womankind," and convince them how much they matter~~ despite their belief to the contrary~~ to themselves, and the people in their lives who love them. When I'm not trying to make the lives of these kids better, I love to hike, power walk, play with my dogs for hours, blog, read, and sip ridiculously good coffee with ridiculously awesome people. I find intellect extremely attractive .I also believe that you can tell whether a relationship is going to work with one kiss. So much can be said in that one kiss..... I have no set script for a first date other than it happens after some thoughtful, meaningful, and yes, flirtatious conversations, via phone, text, etc., that creates a very welcome flurry of butterflies in my stomach that lets me know that we won't be checking our watches every four minutes once we take the plunge and meet. Outdoor cafes; out-of-the-way coffee shops that at least 'offers' Fair Trade coffee with their other selections; independent book stores; beautiful parks conducive for walking and talking; and if all of that feels right, an "evening" date at a candle-lit pub or wine bar that offers tasty crudites and atmosphere.
