About Me

Ok.. I'm gonna try this again. I don't get out much therefore it makes it difficult to meet people the traditional way. I'm going to keep this simple for now but will add more later......Knees in the mud kind of girl that can dress up too...Anything you would like to know, just ask :) (I prefer local responses only please...the lowest setting i could check as far as mileage was 75 but i consider that to far...I haven't been very impressed with the site in the past but thought I would give it another shot..3rd times a charm maybe? Keep it simple, keep it real...:) Meet at the park/lake...go for coffee or a drink

Woman. 54 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.

Looking for: man. In age: 51-61

I try to live life to its fullest, love to laugh and not sweat the bumps in the road, and would love someone to share life's adventures with. I enjoy sports, running, yoga, exploring NYC, good wine and food and good company. A first date could be so exciting..sometimes they work out and other times not, but you have to look at it as meeting someone new and enjoying that person's company for the moment. A drink or a meeting at a coffee shop can work. Lite conversation, nothing too heavy and see how it flows.

I subscribe to a "Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh a lot, word hard, give freely and be kind" way of living, where integrity, honesty, trust, laughter and kindness frame my picture of love, life, levity, and everything that is boldly colored in between. I believe that "coloring outside the lines" promotes greater self-discovery and risk, both of which are extremely important and yes, attractive, sexy and desirable, to me as a writer, educator and most importantly, a parent. When we restrict ourselves to a neatly designed and prescribed, flawless template of how we're supposed to look and behave, we inevitably are not being our authentic selves. For me, to embark on a relationship not being who we are is inevitably destined to fail because in the end, it's based on pretense and falsehood***not the ideal foundation for a loving, lasting relationship. My mission as a special educator is to individualize *** broken and bitter high school kids who have been through serious and often, life threatening traumas in their lives, where school took a back burner to just making it through the day. Our mission as loving and caring educators is to restore their faith in "man/womankind," and convince them how much they matter~~ despite their belief to the contrary~~ to themselves, and the people in their lives who love them. When I'm not trying to make the lives of these kids better, I love to hike, power walk, play with my dogs for hours, blog, read, and sip ridiculously good coffee with ridiculously awesome people. I find intellect extremely attractive .I also believe that you can tell whether a relationship is going to work with one kiss. So much can be said in that one kiss..... I have no set script for a first date other than it happens after some thoughtful, meaningful, and yes, flirtatious conversations, via phone, text, etc., that creates a very welcome flurry of butterflies in my stomach that lets me know that we won't be checking our watches every four minutes once we take the plunge and meet. Outdoor cafes; out-of-the-way coffee shops that at least 'offers' Fair Trade coffee with their other selections; independent book stores; beautiful parks conducive for walking and talking; and if all of that feels right, an "evening" date at a candle-lit pub or wine bar that offers tasty crudites and atmosphere.

Changing what I put here, lol 3rd time is the charm, right? I suppose. I will try and keep it on a postive note. I am 5'2"- between ***lbs atm. The only reason I am putting this in so if you don't like curvy women, you won't be disappointed or waste my timeor yours. I'm 51 , have 3 children, 2 are of age, 1 is younger but lives with her father. I like hanging out with my daughters, but I also want to date and have some fun with someone around my age. I'm a quiet person, and somewhat of a homebody. It takes a little bit for someone to get to know me. I am currently working 2 jobs and going to school to get a better one. I don't want to bore you with too much. I am interested in dating, hanging out, going to movies, travelling, I like to play tennis when given a chance. I'm not sure what else to put in here. at a grocery store so I like flowers also. I don't want just to hook-up for a night. I want to date, hang out, and if it goes further, then ok. I guess I will leave it to you guys, as to whether you want to talk to meor not. I'm an easy going person. I'm not a high maintenance woman. I like nice things but I like to just be treated nice and want someone to like me for me.I am a bit of a quirky person. I guess that is what makes me unique. At least, thanks for reading a little about me. :) I would maybe like just a cup of coffee and a little conversation..
