About Me

I am in the middle of my PhD in entomology (yes, I study insects for a living and hope to teach or do extension/outreach when I finish my degree). I love being outdoors, and am always happy to find someone to go backpacking with.I love reading, especially sci-fi/fantasy and romance. I do a lot of crafts, especially knitting. I also enjoy cooking, but am so not fond of cleaning!I'm currently working on my 6th kyu in aikido (its the first step up from a white belt.) I have always enjoyed martial arts, and other sports. Usually I do a lot of cycling, but most of the roads in my current area have no shoulder and lots of unleashed farm dogs. That makes it a little too exciting!I'm a fairly laid back person, with a good sense of humor, and while I am looking for a relationship, I'm open to friendships too. And you will never have to come over to kill a spider for me (I actually like spiders.)
