About Me

Though my job can be difficult at times, I truly love what I do. I am a passionate nerd who's love for psychology, neuroscience and Autism are manifested in many ways :)With psychology aside, I would say that music has contributed greatly to my happiness and identity. I am a classical pianist (though currently without an acoustic piano!).). I know these areas of music are broad, so to specify, I have recently been listening to Immortal Technique, Notorious B.I.G., Iron and Wine and The Shins.Finally, I am infatuated with swimming and water related sports. I swam competitively for many years and now teach swim lessons to special needs children on the side. You know that specific place, activity or thing that, once pursued, makes you feel just.."right"? Well, I would have to say that swimming provides me with that wonderful feeling of wholeness. Unfortunately, I am terrified of being attacked by a shark so I stay pretty close to shore when at the beach, unless I am with someone :) I suppose that depends on who I am going on a date with! But not to be complicated, I love going to sushi lounges, low key bars, coffee shops etc. I enjoy going places that allows my date and I to have conversations, so as much as I love going to movies, I don't think it's an ideal first date.

    Hey, I'm Jen. I'm a full time musician/ waitress currently. I'll be going to school soon for business management. I stay pretty busy playing music/shows, going to the gym, reading, hiking or making my real money at work. I moved here about a year ago and I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. I'm in a tribute band (guitar/piano) for New Order/ Joy Division. I work a ton between my two jobs, so it's nice to have conversation with people other than at work and the occasional times I go out. I'm a nanny & sales associate who works hard but is always down for a good time. My friends & family are my everything. I love meeting new people so don't be shy.
