As a writer who mainly writes about others it is a very different experience to write about myself. (I also should be so much better at writing an interesting headline.) So I am going to wing it. Bear with me. As a coastal girl who has lived in the Carolinas since ***, I love a visit to the beach or just any body of water. Being near the water, just knowing it is there always keeps me calm. Many an afternoon has been spent driving to the beach, tunes cranked up and my two dogs in the backseat hanging their heads out the window.
