About Me

I'm Lisa, and I'm an outdoors-loving, fun, and down-to-earth kind of lady! I have a degree in Wildlife Ecology, and working with animals has always been a passion for me. I milked cows and worked at a stable all through college, and it seems that I left my heart at the farm! I currently work at a forest, leading hikes, teaching kayaking, educating the public, campground cooking, and helping scouts and school groups. In my spare time I volunteer with wildlife rehabilitation and educating at a local organic food farm. Life is too short not to love, and I'm looking for the right man for life! I've been mostly independent in life and do require some alone time for my sanity.- are you adventurous like me?I take care of the family dogs, two small girls (American Eskimo and Chinese Crested Puff), and I also own 5 exotic toxic amphibians and one of their babies. I'm worth getting to know!As far as religion, I was baptized Lutheran, raised and confirmed in the catholic church, but I'm no longer "religious"- I'm very spiritual and in touch with my God through nature. Nature is my church.Living naturally, eating good food, supporting local farmers, limiting waste, utilizing renewable energy, growing my own food, canning and dehydrating, composting, hunting and gathering from the woods, and using food as medicine that will protect me naturally from disease and cancer will be a part of my future. I'm an old soul looking for my mate. Eventually I'd like to live out in the country with at least a hobby farm animal or two; but I'm always active locally and therefore would be involved in the community and social.I'm a "do it yourself" type, so I'd like to have a partner that can help me maintain our future home, vehicles, and possibly the family! I'm not likely to speak to just any guy, and I want to get to know you before I decide to meet you. I'm not likely to jump into marriage, but it's certainly an end goal in mind. The rugged man statement is really just to "weed out" men that are afraid to get their hands dirty - they kind of freak me out :-)I also want a man that I can bring home to my family, because they are important to me as well. Confidence and honesty are the best ways to handle meeting my family. If you don't have either of those, you have no business messaging me or dating me. Did I mention that I tell it like it is? :-) I like someone who also can be straight forward with me, even if I don't want to hear it (I will thank you later after I think about what you said***always striving to be a better person.I want a man that is happy, confident, loves his job, has healthy hobbies, is social but is also happy alone, doesn't drink excessively, loves being outside, and doesn't suffer from mental illness or disability/disease that would prevent him from being able to keep a healthy relationship. Perhaps I'm picky, but I know what I want out of life and the kind of man that I want by my side. Do you know what you want? Let's go for a hike, go to the gun range, go camping, fishing, kayaking, morel hunting, dinner, or you can teach me something fun! I will admit that weekends are my busiest days with work, but I'm willing to make a date happen if you are!

    I love to laugh but then again who doesn't. I love taking road trips or sitting on the couch. I'm what you would call a 'go with the flow' kind of person. Also love to cook and I haven't killed anyone yet, so I guess I'm pretty good at it. I have a few tattoos but all are concealable and I will be getting more as the years go on.I have tendency to make the best of every situation even if I get burned but I've learned to just move on. Tomorrow is a new day.I'm not much of a 'lady' in the traditional sense, unless the occasion calls for it (like around grandparents and such). I curse like a sailor right off the boat and make lots of dirty jokes like one too. If it itches, I scratch it. I'm loud and unapologetic in my delivery but only when I'm around friends or if I'm extremely comfortable around you. I'm not afraid to be the person I've come to know. It took a LONG tough battle to get here and I couldn't be happier with what I've become.My music will always be louder than necessary and I'll listen to anything that has a beat. Life is entirely too short and I try to live it to it's fullest potential. I would rather be picking mud out of my hair, or sitting by a bonfire than go shopping anyday. But I can't pass up a good oppritunity to pamper myself with a pedicure or massage. Girl's got to have priorities you know! Cowboys Nation baby!! I am fiercely independent and that unfortunately has gotten in the way of recent relationships. So if you can't handle someone that can think and act on their own, then please continue on. Be creative. I'm a nervous wreck when I first meet someone, so I will talk incessantly or not at all. But if there is food involved I'll usually shut up long enough to take a bite. Maybe. I'm willing to try anything twice (drinks will help ease the tension) Also be sure you know how to converse via your face hole or some type of technology. If the conversation gets dull that's when I'll lose interest and just stop talking altogether.
