I like to draw(good at), play sports and listening to various kinds of music, especially alternative rock, house, blues and metal. I like to think beyond what school has taught me. I'm more self-directed and have learned more on my own without always the guidance of a structured *** to look at all of the possiblities of ideas. Black and white thinking is too limiting. I have learned through experience that stereotypes of people and things are not always true. I think it's just a way of separating people into categories and labeling them without getting to know them first. I like to think before I act. I judge a person's character rather than their exterior, but we all know looks and what a person wears are important to a certain extent. I'm not going to lie about that.I'm more insightful about my outlook on life. It has helped me understand things better and has given more clarity of things around me through my observations. I'm not into organized religions, but I believe there is something out there watching over us. I'm not too girly, and I'm not too tomboyish. I believe balance and moderation are both keys to a happy life. I am strong-willed, and I will stand up for myself when needed. I am not a push over. Education and having a decent work ethic are essential in today's economy if you want to make it anywhere. I'm not an overachiever, but I'm not a slacker either. I was once a perfectionist who has learned the hard way that it is not achievable and will only lead to disappointment, unhappiness, and it deteriorates your physical, emotional, and mental health. I also have a preference for slim, slender, or toned built guys. I think it's important to find someone who you're compatible with(start out as friends, similar interests, similar personality, etc.) and someone who can complement me(someone a little more outgoing than me, teach me things I don't know, etc.).I would love to travel to more places and see what's out there. I enjoy cuddling and being indoors too. I also give good back massages. It's my expertise.I'm also a sucker for guys who play guitar. Here's just a little bit about me:I'm a fun-loving, spontaneous, educated and athletic woman, and I'm looking for similar qualities in my future mate. I love to laugh and be around people who are good-natured and have a positive outlook on life. I love to sing, dance, and be just plain silly sometimes. However, I also know when to be serious. I believe there is a time and place for everything, and I try my best to be appropriate for the curcumstance. I am strong in my Christian faith and would like my counterparts to share similar beliefs.S. in Elementary Education in December ***, and I threw the hammer, weighted throw, and discus in Track and Field at the collegiate level. I am currently working towards my Master's degree in Education and my certification for teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) at UMKC. I teach 4th through 6th grade Communication Arts in small groups to students who are struggling in the classroom. I am also a Volleyball coach in the fall, and will be a Track and Field coach in the spring. My school is a Title I school if that means anything to you, but I love my job and my coworkers! However, I am working towards teaching abroad in Central or South America for a while. I speak enough Spanish to get me into trouble, but I'm working every day to increase my fluency. This is helpful since about 97% of the student population at my school is Hispanic and speak English as their second language.I absolutely love to travel and I enjoy many different types of music. Depending on my mood, I enjoy pop music, country, rap/hip hop, and hard rock especially when I'm lifting. I also a big fan of 90's music and I love holiday music! Sometimes I even sing Christmas carols in July! (Don't you dare judge me!) I'm just curious about this site and looking for a good guy who's educated, hard-working, taller than I am, and has a good sense of humor. I am not one of those girls who needs a man to feel complete. I'm perfectly content on my own and able to provide for myself, but I would love a relationship if I feel the timing and man is right for me. Feel free to shoot me a message sometime! Honestly, I try not to be very picky about a first date. I'm happy to give my input when asked, but I feel as though planning the first date is the man's role and I wouldn't want to take that away. Just as long as I can hear enough to converse effectively, and we don't go somewhere super sketchy where I feel as though I could potentially be in danger, I'll be just fine. Lol For a first date, I'd like to go and do something memorable (preferably in a positive way) but please don't feel as though we need to spend a whole week's pay! That's just dumb and impractical. Times is tough man, and ain't nobody got time for that! ;)
