About Me

The hardest part of dating for me is pretending I like hiking and long walks on the beach. I'm not outdoorsy, so if you want to go kayaking or camping, or if you spend all of your time in the woods taking pictures of wildlife and birds, I'm probably not for you. I'm a mildly intelligent, outgoing woman who is socially presentable and likes to do stuff. My favorite fruit is chocolate, and way down deep, I'm pretty shallow. I like eating anything I didn't cook (I'm sure you'll feel the same way), going out for drinks, watching a good movie, day trips here and there, going to the beach, live music, theatre, art festivals, spending time with family and friends, lazy Sundays, and maybe even a little painting by numbers on a rainy day.My dislikes? Politics, stupidity, lies, and cottage cheese. All deal breakers, especially the cottage cheese.I am looking for someone who enjoys some of the same things I do. It would also be great if my "special someone" had a job that he likes, a car that runs pretty much all the time, and a good sense of humor.     The perfect day can be anywhere as long as the company is good. I love to laugh and make others laugh, but if you need an ear I am more than willing to listen. I like to be a bit unpredictable and contrary to what I seem to be; I am very involved in my church as a Lay speaker, Worship Design Leader, bass player in a praise bands & Financial Secretary. On the other hand I love spending time playing poker with friends or listening to a band in the local pub. I appreciate many types of music but mostly listen to Rock and Alternative. I have started really getting into walking through the woods with my recently rescued 3 year old dog. I see the beauty of God's world in every corner and I love to celebrate that through photography. I can spend an entire day wandering about taking pictures in a city or in the country. I love to cook or go out to eat, sit home and watch TV/read a book or visit friends, have an adult beverage or enjoy a cup of coffee/tea, go to a bible study or the casino. There is too much life has to offer to be held back by convention!!! A date can be almost anywhere as long as we are doing something fun, interesting and/or entertaining. The most important element for me is honesty, I dislike the pretense that most first dates bring.
