Looking for: man. In age: 43-53
Hoping to find a true gentlemen (guys, chivalry is not dead), I do enjoy the occasional door be opened for me and the spontaneous act of kindness. Sometimes the little thoughts in life mean the most. We tend take those closest to us for granted. Everyone enjoys a true compliment and a thanks! I know which fork to use (and you should too!) and I am not afraid to sleep in a tent. Traveling is a MUST, there are so many places in the world I would love to visit, and it would be great to visit those places with somebody equally as adventurous.

I am the sum of my contradictions - a balance between intellect and intuition, discipline and indulgence, classy and flashy all in one. I am fiercely independent and I also want(but don't need) someone to share my world. I love to do a hard run or tough workout at the gym and to spend parked on the beach with a book; I love red wine, ice cream and cookies.- I love live music, but I hardly use my iPod. I have no hand/eye coordination, but I am a passionate Pats/Sox fan.I am one of those really lucky people who absolutely loves what I do.It's their contradictions I love too. I love them in all their awkward, ugly uncertainty and abrasiveness. It's the dichotomy I love -that they have the answers to world peace, but will fight over who gets what chair. They keep me on my toes and make me laugh...I love to laugh, love that lightness that makes everything seems brighter. Other things I love... the beach, great restaurants and wonderful wine (mostly red) but I am just as happy with a eating pizza on the couch watching a movie or the Pats. Dave Mathew's is a favorite but I like just about everything from Southern rock to hip hop to Adele; I love live music best. I love to cook but fitness is also important to me. I am dedicated but not fanatic; I stay in shape by running and weight training and I’d love to share that with a partner. I am smart, successful and creative whether it’s in my classroom, creating stained glass or gardening around my house. I love stories – a book I can’t put down, a good action movie, history, and the headlines. I also love men - like guys because they are guys; I am not looking looking for my guy to be a "chick" in men's clothing. I also love a guy who is a gentleman – dare I say a romantic.. I want to write the next chapter in my story with the kind of man who loves to fall asleep holding hands …. In the summer, live music outside by the water would make an inspiring first date. Throw in some seafood and sangria and a soft sunset maybe a walk on the beach in the moonlight. Good conversation is a must.In cooler weather, the conversation still stands, some good red wine, really good Italian food somehere small or maybe watching a Pats/Sox game.Ultimately, it's not so much about the what or the where, but the chance to start to know someone.

A few things about me:I am a good person, and try not to hurt others; I like to laugh. A lot! Which is good since I'm one of the funniest people I know. haha. I am pretty happy most of the time. I pride myself on being low maintenance, and at the same time am happy to put in the effort if the occasion call for it. I'm a bit of a tomgirl (not in a sporty way...more in an I don't mind getting my hands dirty kind of way); I recycle, clean up after my dog and turn off the lights when I leave a room; I love kids but don't want any; I'm a great friend and lover. Also, the part where you can only pick one word to describe your personality, it was hard to pick just one. Hedonist, homebody, intellectual all fit too.A few things about you:I don't care what you drive, or what you do for work, or how much money you make. I do care about niceness, honesty, and just being real. Like everyone else looking for love, I'm just trying to find that connection. If you message me, please say something about something you read in my profile. I'll do the same. The messages that just say "Hello" don't interest me. Online dating is different from meeting someone in a bar or somewhere, as that you already know a bit about the person you're contacting. I'm sure there is something you can think of to mention. Coffee, ice cream, somewhere we can talk and get to know each other a bit. Worst idea for first date: seeing a movie.
