About Me

Here's the first thing you need to know about me....I am very in touch with my inner child. I still find beauty & wonder in all the little things. I am very young at heart, and am not afraid to enjoy things that some people might deem me "too old" for. This does not mean I am immature however....I own my own home, I have a truck that's paid for, I raised two kids on my own, I have a good job & I just graduated from nursing school a few years ago. I can be "mature" when I have to be. But life is too short not to have fun!I'm game for anything at least once....this year I'd like to go to "Shakespeare in the Park" and do at least one road trip to explore some new place.I love going to the movies....don't worry, I won't ask you to see some "chick flick" with me....I don't watch a lot of those, but if I do, I'll watch it at home, alone, where I can cry in private! lolI love going to football/hockey/baseball games. I have been to a few Nascar races as well (Go Jimmie!). I also like going to plays & concerts (mostly country) as well.Here's a good thing about me: I am low maintenance! I am not into clothes/shoes/purses/jewelry. I am a jeans/tshirts/flipflops kinda girl. Want to shower me with something? How about kisses? I want to be with someone who wants to be WITH me. Someone to hold hands with, make out with, cuddle with. Intimacy is important.You don't have to take me to expensive restaurants to impress me....dinner at a Roadhouse is my favorite! Don't send me expensive flowers....; just as pretty! Nice summer day? Rainy day? Let's spend it inside, cuddling on the couch watching a movie & grilling out.I'm very easy going.....I don't need to plan everything out days/weeks in advance. I love spontaneity!I love a good conversation. A sense of humor is a must.....I tend to have a sarcastic one sometimes.Another thing you should know: I may WANT a man, but I don't NEED a man. I am not looking for someone to "take care of me" or be a father to my children (they are grown & living on their own). I can take care of myself. I chose to be single for many years while my kids were younger as they were more important to me than getting distracted in a relationship. But now I am at a point in my life where they are more independent & I have more free time to be myself again & get out & enjoy life. I would like to be with someone who can appreciate me in all my craziness & love me for it, and maybe come along for the ride! A nice first date would be just being able to spend time with each other, talking & feeling each other out, learning a little more about each other & seeing if there is a connection.
