About Me

I prefer life to be simple, in other words, not too much drama. I am looking to start off as friends - go with the flow, get some substance going... but my head space going into this is " the intention of moving in the direction of a strong, loving, respectful, intimate, and long lasting relationship". I enjoy what's around me; family, friends, food, nature, music... all the good stuff. I make a concerted effort to not take things for granted. I like to be adventurous, to explore new places, and try new things. I'm passionate, down to earth, genuine, smart, and worldly. I'm confident in my skin, my "me space" is in the garden, or just doing something for me. When I retire I will do it at a cottage sitting by the waters edge, where I can get up in the morning, go for a swim, a kayak/canoe, a hike... something outdoorsy.. and then be able to have a glass of red on the deck in the evening, underneath the stars. I'm told from those that know me, that I'm kind/compassionate, down to earth, open minded, patient, non judgemental, easy to talk to, funny/sarcastic, and have a strong work ethic.My daughter is the biggest reason I smile everyday! I'd like to meet someone that gives me another reason to smile.***of the reasons I value Andy Rooney's opinion, or at least his "no candy coating" shared thoughts on valuable information.... A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress.
