If you're recently divorced or separated, give yourself a chance to get all that squared away before putting yourself out there.Good looks, financial stability and confidence are great but I want someone who gets my sense of humor and can make me laugh - that's a deal breaker. First dates are harrowing for all of us so for me, the first time I meet someone shouldn't be an all out, jam packed evening. Sharing a glass of wine and some mutual conversation without an all night commitment works best for me.
