I thank meetville for the opportunity to try and meet that special man im searching for, dont kno if its me not doing something right (maybe to old or just dont understand dating anymore?) It is quiet dis heartening to have read the many profiles of the very handsome african american men (which is my preference) but out of all whos profiles said they were looking for serious relationships it was very rare any would respond to my contacting them. Anyway i wish the best of luck to all with your continued search in finding ir hearts desire as i will be deleting my profile. God Bless and good luck!

Woman. 49 years old. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius.
Looking for: man. In age: 46-56
I am 49 years old. My husband of 12 years passed away in May. It has been a very hard year but life goes on and right now I would just like to get to know someone around my age and become friends. I want to just be able to enjoy life and make the best of everyday. I work in a Nursing Home so I know the importance of having Family and Friends. My husband taught me that there is a lot of good music to listen to.!! I enjoy going walking when I can and just being outside. I am a simple person. I have 3 grown daughters and a stepson that I am close with. I have 7 grandchildren that I love and adore. I am looking for someone that is good hearted, calm, and does NOT have a DRUG or ALOCHOL PROBLEM. Been there and it hurts to much in many ways. I am not miss skinny. Life is short !! Just want an honest, caring, loving relationship. It takes time to find that !! You have to start with friendship.

It's way too difficult to describe myself in a box. I'm part Italian, which makes me a bit passionate in the things that matter to me. I feel things deeply and give 100% (and then some) to the people in my life. My children are my greatest blessing! Hobbies include anything of a creative nature. I'm a published writer and have recently tapped into the artist in me! I love creating something out of nothing. Can't imagine the world without music...all kinds. Don't think I can pin down a specific type or style. I guess it depends on my mood at any given moment. Anything from acoustic guitar, to piano music, to jazz, to rock, to contemporary pop music. Can't say I'm too fond of zydeco or rap music with offensive lyrics, but most anything else is on my list of favorites. I love the outdoors and enjoy anything that involves being around water...a beach or lake. Not great on skis, but enjoy going along for the ride!My story, and what I'm looking for, isn't all that unique. Married for ten years, and although it wasn't my "happily-ever-after", my amazing kids made it all worth it. My youngest has just headed off to college, and I'm thinking it might be time for a new beginning for me. I just want a stand-up guy who's willing to say "Enough" when it comes to playing the same old games. (If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll continue to get what you've got!) Unfortunately, it seems like this might be the wrong pond to be fishing in. Plenty of people trolling, but nobody (and by that, I mean you men!) really making an effort to connect. (Or maybe you're hanging around for that arm candy?) Good luck with that... Lots of really great women out there (and yes, I think I'm one of them) looking for a really great man willing to at least buy her a cup of coffee! First dates are usually a bit awkward, so I'd prefer something with very little pressure! Meeting for dinner or coffee or a drink seems to be a great way to break the ice. It doesn't take too long to determine if there's potential...
