About Me

Looking for an honest friend to start. Where it goes from there, we will figure out, together. Life gets complicated, but a relationship doesn't have to be, if there's communication and compromise...Not into drama, but sometimes it finds you...Sometimes it feels like the world is going crazy with liars, drug and alcohol addictions, game players, thieves and just players...I like to keep my life simple and have no problem walking away from toxic people! Classic, alternative, hard rock and Blues..Love going to concerts, small or large. Would like to find a man that likes to tinker with home projects, building, that has a creative mind and can jump into what I'm doing also...My latest interest is in Aquaponics, and raising chickens and rabbits I like learning new things, some of my unfinished projects reflect that...lol Would be great to be creative with someone and find out our similarities first...Opposites attract, yea, but you gotta have things in common to last the long haul...I like going out occasionally, but am a homebody at heart. I like taking care of the person I love and miss having someone to care for...But that has to be a two way street and I'm finding less and less men that have a helpful nature...Saints and LSU fan, but not into other teams or sports Yep, that means Nascar...lol... Obama needs to go and I have no patience with liberal arguments...FB is where I vent my political rants.... There are exceptions to every rule, but mostly I prefer to be with someone within a few years of my age, in either direction. No large age differences please. I have a soft spot for long hair on a man, but short hair or even bald, is in no way a deal breaker with a compatible personality...My best companion is my old girl, 11 year old boxer and I just acquired two manx kittens...and 11 rabbits...So I've been busy...lol...But there are many projects I'd love to get into with the right person...Would love to get my place to being completely self sufficient and even go off grid I'm confused about something I'm seeing on many profiles...Many men are 'undecided' about having more children....Hmmm I really don't know what to think about that...Been looking at profiles in my age group and do guys really want to have more kids at this stage of life? I have two grown sons and look forward to the day when they find the right woman and make me a Grandma....But my days of being a full time Mama to babies, or small children are long gone...LOL ....I love kids, but at this age, I don't want to start over....This site is kind of boring...send me a message, if you'd like to converse...not much else to do here...Profile suggestion for some people: If you are wearing a hat and sunglasses that cover your face and eyes, you might as well not have a pic up at all....just saying...I like being able to see a person's eyes! And please have some patience about meeting in person...This is a good way to meet people once they / I feel comfortable doing so....a couple of messages is not knowing someone well enough to meet in person..... Depends on the person and their likes...I like all the regular stuff...going to dinner or cooking at home, easy to please when it comes to food, movies, concerts, bonfires, flea markets, thrift shops, auctions, (not a mall kind of person), walks on the beach, weekend get aways, gun shows, etc...As long as the company is good, I'm up for most things. I've met some great friends from online sites and in some unusual places...Autozone and a ceramic shop...lol
