About Me

Hello, I am a pretty happy person but consider myself a work in progress. I love to be outside but also love to be cozy and comfortable. I work for balance in all areas of my life and am not an excessive type person. I love to read and do the crossword, and I don't care much for TV. I like to have in my life, and by my side, funny, smart people who are just plain nice and who do not take themselves too seriously. I have been known to be sarcastic but not in a nasty way. I do generally tell it like it is but I too, live by the golden rule to be nice. I have a big family and enjoy my time with them and I have many friends and work to nurture my relationships with them. But at the end of the day I want to be with my best friend, my lover, my partner for life. I have been known to dance to the beat of my own drum. I am an independent person and I am brave. I mostly love my job but look forward to my next job, and I don't know what it is yet but I'll know it when it is presented to me. I do not necessarily have hobbies, but do enjoy what most people do; movie, beaches, to hike, bike, relax, play tennis, scrabble, (okay, maybe most do not enjoy scrabble - you get a pass on this one), going to the dog park - because dogs are so funny - (I love cats too, but I am a little allergic).Music moves me, literally and figuratively and I love to see bands and musicians play. My taste in music can be varied; I can listen to classical and jazz and totally enjoy that.- $12). In my office I have FUV on the radio. The station has roots that are in folk, and the music they play will rarely be heard on commercial radio, and often something you haven't heard in years, (which is why I like it) and sometimes can get get really funky.I have a teenager and now that my turn influencing her with my music is over, she now turns me on to her's. It's the natural progression with us in a lot of ways...I teach her, she teaches me at least until she goes off to school in a year.The man I want to spend my time with will be well read and interested in the world around him. He will be a stand-up guy, respectful and responsible and his mama will have raised him up with manners. Our conversations will be two-sided and range from silly and totally inane fun to some serious shit! I am young and would like the man in my life to be as well. He and I will live the same type of lifestyle; eat well (I will, however, indulge at times), take care of himself, love his neighbors (or at the very least, tolerate them), and do random acts of kindness, etc. Lastly, my man will think that I am the best thing since sliced bread, and I will think he is the best thing since the ezpass. Mostly though, my man will be happy and proud that I call him "my man". Could be coffee and if we are hungry, we could eat. Hope that the conversation is easy off the bat and as I think I am a pretty good conversationalist, that part should go well. It's really the 2nd date for me which is more telling. I would like there to be good eye contact, and there really should be a few good laughs. Beyond that I like to have as few expectations as possible so that there is lots of room for a good surprise.

    I work hard as an ER nurse and night shift clinical coordinator. I love my job,but it is not my life.(it does make me realize how short life can be and to just enjoy every minute of it that you can) My family always comes first. My children are now young adults working and gong to school with my oldest out on her own. No matter how old they are they will always be a priority for me. They are adopted and of different races so if that's not for you pass me on.I am just staring the process of looking for a home to purchase. I really like NJ, well, probably wouldn't have any complaints if someone warmed my car up for me every cold winter morning:) I am patient,easy going,reliable,generous and responsible. I love scary movies!! The kind that make you not want to be home alone! I like dressing up and going out for dinner or a drink somewhere out of the way, not too crowded. A place where we can actually hear each other talk and I don't feel like I could be the parent to most of the patrons.Also love casual stay at home times too. I like most types of music and enjoy good local bands. Going to the city is fun on occasion too. I never mind getting a little messy as long as I'm having fun:) Really most things we do are fun in the right company.Also love vacations exotic or different not necessarily the popular all inclusive resorts that are so popular,like stay-cations too they give me a chance to catch up on those things so easily put off, finding new places to explore as well as going to old favorites. So that's pretty much me in a few paragraphs.
