About Me

MOTORCYCLES SCARE THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO SHARE THAT PART OF YOUR LIFE WITH, IT'S NOT ME. IF YOU ARE OK WITH JUST HANGING OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS TO GO RIDING, WE'RE GOLDEN. ALSO, DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO CATS. - I realize this a long profile so I figured I'd just put that up front. I don't know if Animal Lover is the best word to describe myself but my options were limited. I am silly, cynical, sarcastic and affectionate. I'm also a REALLY bad speller and I never make my date dance at formal occasions. I'm also really go at making my bed but I rarely do.I'm happy with myself and my life, but I'd like to have someone to share it with. I own a golden retriever trapped in the body of a chihuahua. She actually looks like someone Photo-shopped the head of a Chihuahua to the body of a pug. All of my dogs have been rescues, but she takes the cake as far as looks. Apparently I'm a tiny little person (5'2") but growing up I was the tallest one in the family. We didn't count Dad since he's a boy. I'd go over to my Mom's house and she'd ask me to reach for stuff. I thought I was really tall until high school.I'm a very laid back, low maintenance kind of girl. Given a choice between a trendy club or a dive bar, I'll take the dive bar every time. I like to go places with character; they usually have better music. I avoid shopping and malls as much as possible. If I need clothes I have to have my friends or sister come with my other wise I'd just wear black shirts and black pants all the time. They really need to start making Garanimals for adults. I can match up animals like you wouldn't believe. Bookstores are the exception to this rule although there aren't too many left. I like antique stores because I'm always on the look out for old medication bottles or advertisements. I'm not particularly girly, but I clean up pretty well and I love a good manicure. I have a silly/sarcastic sense of humor.I'm divorced with no kids, but I do have a 11 year old niece and 2 nephews ages 9 and 10.I'm also a REALLY bad speller and I never make my date dance at formal occasions.I Listen to Wait Wait, This American Life, The Moth and Radio Lab podcasts. I'm not ashamed to say that I get my news from The Daily Show and Fark.com (and occasionally the Onion. I have my recumbent bike in front of the TiVo so if I want to watch anything, I've got to be riding my bike. I also like to multitask while I ride. I TiVo Judge Judy (don't judge me, she's the only one who calls it like it is) and some time knit or play solitaire on my phone while I ride.I am a big animal person. We got to second semester surgery and I was afraid my sneezing would kill a cat. At that time there was only one school in the state and it was really hard to get into. I knew I was allergic to cats, but I got in and I didn't want to say I never tried. I ended up changing my major to Business Management and then came home and got my Bachelor's from North Park because they had a program for working adults. I'm kind of all over the board.Book-I loved (I'm currently on medical leave, nothing contagious, but recovering) being a pharmacy tech. Sometimes the public makes me weep for the future of humanity, but generally they are literate and I have a great time with them. They know I care and will go above and beyond for them to get them what they need; corporate be damned. I love the crabby ones, unless they're really sick, and then kill them with kindness and they love me forever.I feel that what ever job I do in this world, I want it to have an impact. When I leave work, I like knowing that I've spent 8 hours helping people who truly needed it. I was trained on the job, but these days they are a ton of schools where you can take classes to become a pharmacy tech. I am planning on calling some of these schools and explaining they need to have a class on interacting with the patients and I am the perfect person to teach that class.I don't remember anyplace where I received more flowers and gifts for just doing my job. It was the critically acclaimed Co-Ed Prison Sluts. I had no idea at the time, but the guy who co-wrote it is extremely famous in the world of Improve. I didn't meet him for months when we started because he was directing the 50th Anniversary Show at Second City. It was so much fun and I meet some amazing people. I find sarcasm and a very dry sense of humor VERY appealing. I prefer men who shower daily and don't live in their parent's basement. Teeth and book learnin' are a plus.I'm not a foodie but I prefer not to eat junk food and take out on a regular basis. I like to talk to the person on the phone first. I think you get a better feel for them, then you do in *** that goes well I think meeting for drinks with the rest of the evening open, is a great first date. That way you have some time to get to know the person over drinks (alcohol or otherwise) and if things are really going well, go to dinner and see what happens.Or meeting for coffee. Very casual.I think sometimes thing can get awkward. If the person I'm with is supposed to take me to dinner and we really don't hit it off, I don't want him to feel uncomfortable spending the next hour or 2 trying to figure a way out of this. I guess what I'm saying is, you never know and I don't want to force anyone or myself to spend time with someone they don't really like.

Woman. 46 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.

Looking for: man. In age: 43-53

I find it a challenge to represent myself (and my very 3 dimensional personality), in such a 1 dimensional environment, but who doesn't love a great challenge?! I was taught that life is easy, people make it hard, and that you should never lose your sense of humor. So, make me laugh and I'll follow you anywhere!I am a hard working, witty, sexy, intelligent fairly new nurse (loved the learning process the 2nd time around, so much so that it continues on) who loves spending time with my 2 boys and great friends. I am happy eating pizza and drinking wine (doesn't have to be fancy)...fireplace would make it the perfect evening. I am fascinated with organized crime dramas. Fall is my favorite season. I prefer to watch college basketball but professional football. I love to travel but really love coming home.I am looking for stimulating conversation and a few good laughs (I am a LOT funnier in real life than I am online). You'd never know I am my age, but not going to lie about it. To know me is to love me! Take a chance! Start with drinks, things go well, and we order appetizers (maybe we share, maybe we don't). We can't stop talking and laughing, so we grab a table. After dinner maybe a nice walk, things still going really well...discussing plans for the 2nd date?

Looking for: man. In age: 46-56

I have a giant heart, I love people and animals and do what I can to make a difference in the world. My children are the most important thing in my life and I cherish the time that I spend with them, but I do still have room for that special someone. I'm honest and sincere and you won't find me on dating websites once we decide that we want to see what happens between us.I have such a wide range of interests it would be impossible to list them all. I love all kinds of music, museums or hole-in-the-wall diners, riding in the car with the windows down, and laughing as much as possible. I'm happy and content with my life but I'm only 47 yrs. young and still have a lot of life to fill. Perhaps you can help? Dinner and drinks? Strolling through a museum? The zoo? Anything during which we could really talk and get to know each other would be great. Hope to hear from you soon.

Looking for: man. In age: 44-54

Helloooo! MEN, please leave your shirts on for your profile pics? MUST LOVE large dogs. Seems everyone puts this but im open and honest, usually to honest. Im kind putting others feelings before my own. I am a loyal partner and expect the same respect, just be honest. If it isn't working get it out there. I have found out thru experience that i need someone that is affectionate and not afraid to show me, I like to cuddle and Im passionate and MOST important, THE KISS! Someone that wants to be with me as much as i want to be with them. I am not impressed by money possessions or what toys you have. i know the things that make one truly happy like joy happiness and love cant be bought. I'm attracted to independent men, you have your own opinions but will listen to mine and then make your decision. Not a 'yes ma'am' man who can't be bothered listening or talking, although 'yes dear' would be fine lol.I would rather stay alone then be in the wrong relationship or settle. I will just know when it's right. Im open to trying new things always, may not be very good but i'll give it a shot. I enjoy walks even in the rain if its warm, sitting under the stars enjoying a beverage, anything to do with camping but im not a girl in a tent camper lol, far to old for that lol. Looking for maturity, independence and someone who has a life going of their own but still has and wants room for someone to bring fun and companionship to their life. He needs to be able to hold a conversation, even when talking of things that hold no interest to him personally.. A sense of humour is necessary and my humour tends to be on the sarcastic side lol and Im a smart ass and quick with the come backs lol. I remember where I have been, learned from my mistakes and i have an idea of where i would like to go. I want a man who knows how to be a gentleman and remembers how to treat woman, its not one sided because i know how to treat a man. I am not high maintenance or materialistic and can take care of myself so I would like someone to add into my life but that they have a life of their own as well. The small things make a huge difference. A hug for no reason, hold hands, hand on the back, maybe hold a door and yes i hold doors as well lol.One of the best feelings is knowing your presence and absence BOTH mean something to someone. I may be mistaken as a bit shy, I'm not, just guarded at first. If you want to chat send me a message please.....BUT if you're only looking for one night stands or hook ups, FWB or weekend flings im not interested....P.S..a pic plz, fair is fair Not really a date but meeting over a coffee or drink and see if we want to have a date
