About Me

I’m an active but grounded, way-too-busy, professional-single-mom looking for someone to spend time with at the Art Gallery, MOA, concerts, kayaking, cross country or downhill skiing, shooting baskets at the park with my/our kids, or going on beach walks where I find my balance and peace. I make time for the things that matter and that’s my children, my partner, friends and family. The outdoors, art and music along with my children, give me the greatest joy. My boys make me laugh when they tell me jokes but get the punch lines wrong. My friends make me laugh, as they throw poker parties, spout wildly non-PC views on religion and the meaning of life, and remind me about what really matters. And my own life makes me alternatively laugh and cry, I’ve got an intense job, two children I adore and all the complexity that entails, and I’m looking for someone I connect with to do outdoor or cultural activities and then see what happens.I have a career that really works for me. I’m fit, live a healthy lifestyle, look younger than I am, and I’m more positive than most. I have friends and family I feel connected with but most are tied up in busy lives or have moved away. So what I’m looking for is someone to hang out with – someone who is smart, playful, both adult and childlike, honest, loyal, warm, kind, open, vulnerable, likes connecting to others, and is emotionally mature … and someone who understands the demands of parenting and can go with it. I’d like to hang out with someone who like art, music, good wine but also to be outdoors and play in the mountains or islands, walk along the beach just to hear the waves crashing; who like dogs, is authentic, stable, adventurous and confident, and is able to laugh when things don’t go perfectly. If you interact with others through a lens of attachment theory and Non-Violent Communication that would be a plus. Give me a shout if maybe that’s you. A first meeting is about doing a shared activity and getting to know each other a little. This could be a walk, coffee, or something simple. No pressure. It's just to see if hanging out and talking is enjoyable.
