I am looking for someone to come home to and who wants to share the good, bad, fun, sad, busy and quiet times of my life with me.I am single mom with two tween daughters who are my world. They are with me fairly full time and that is definitely a priority in my life. As I work full-time in the travel industry and am away from home a few days each week, I enjoy just being their mom on my days off. However, thats not to say I don't do other things...... I have been a Fitness *** 27 years but teach classes for fun and exercise and am definitely not a size 2 fanatic :-)I love walks/hikes on local trails or beaches with my very large dog or hanging out with friends for a coffee or glass of wine. I am a vegetarian but understand that that is my choosing and people (including my kids) can eat whatever they want. I thoroughly enjoy simple weekends away or love to travel anywhere the winds (and an aircraft) will take me! Quiet nights in front of a fireplace with a great glass of wine or enjoying a beach with my Tim's coffee are some favorite things. I enjoy most movies, music and TV shows including The Walking Dead and even hockey! I consider myself very easy going, social, caring, honest, happy, confident and independent. What I am not is a demanding, high maintenance drama queen! I am also not looking for a "new" dad for my girls. They already have a father in their lives but someone who understands that at this age and stage of our lives, we all come with a history and responsibilities. I am a huge sports nut, my favorite being football! I love the Vikings, win or lose! I am also a huge Twins fan. Target Field is awesome and there's no other way to watch a baseball game! :) I also love the outdoors - camping, fishing, sitting around a campfire with a couple beers and good company! I love walking around the area lakes and I try to get out as often as I can, even in the winter! I have a 22 year old son and he is the joy of my life! Update - There’s just something about being able to watch a storm build and roll in that puts everything into perspective...I am down to earth, hard working, and honest. Sometimes I am a little too serious. I try to do the best I can with what I have. I feel that life is way too short for drama and jealousy. My references, (friends), would say that I’m smart, trustworthy, funny, often a sarcastic smart ass, and usually up for just about anything. They would also tell you that I’m also a great cook. My kids (the only one still at home is my 16yo daughter) would tell you that I cry at sappy movies, even the ones I’ve see dozens of times which they find endlessly amusing. It frustrates me to no end, but it is what it is. I’ll try just about anything, or am willing to give it a try (except sushi) -–-80’s rock), travel, books and movies. I am happy hanging around at home with family and friends or out and about. I love to explore both old and new places and I love being outside and doing "outside stuff." I love to learn new things and I’m very much what I call a ‘knowledge junkie.’ I love anything involving horses or other animals. I can milk a cow/goat/horse (yes, more than once), have played 'midwife' to just about everything with 4 legs, I feel that a good relationship begins with a great friendship and that a good relationship is about being, and having, a best friend, being comfortable, supportive, and helpful to them, but also being able to maintain your individuality as well. It's more than just bright lights, fireworks, romance, and champagne. Don't get me wrong, I want that too, but I feel being able to be there for each other through thick and thin, whether you hit the lottery, or just came in from the field, road or barn and look like you've been drug through hell and back is where it's at and what it’s really all about. Who am I looking for? The short answer is a country boy/cowboy type, but there’s more to it than that, so here goes... I feel "rugged" and a 'man's man' would probably be good words to describe you. Your friends would say that you are intelligent, independent, and self confident, that you are fun loving and like to cut up and have a good time, but you also know when it's time to be serious and get down to business. You are on their short list of people to call when they need help. You are willing to do whatever it takes for those close to you. I want someone who can make me smile when I’m having a rough day with a quick hug and kiss to let me know everything will be ok. I want someone who is patient and kind, especially when I forget and slip back into the ‘old, too independent for my own good me.’ You try to live by the golden rule and try to be a good role model. I want someone who believes anything can be worked through if both sides want it bad enough. I want someone who loves the outdoors and animals. I want someone who understands and can appreciate that some of my favorite smells are a fresh cut alfalfa field and a barn full of animals.If any of this strikes a chord with you, please drop me a line or twenty and tell me about yourself.
