New to POF! Had never heard of this site until this evening when a conversation with another mother (after school *** my seven yr old son's Bitty Basketball game) revealed to me that she met her boyfriend of the past eight months on here! Who knew??? Not I! ;)My divorce is exactly one week old tomorrow, however, we were separated for the past ***yrs, so I am truly ready to begin the next & brightest chapter of my life! I feel so much lighter now that we've finally settled! They are my inspirations every day, & I carry gratitude in my heart for all the choices I made that brought me to this place in the here & now, with the magical result being their existence. :)I stepped away from my career in Advertising, Marketing, & Public Relations in the fashion industry to become an at-home mother when my eldest son was born. I have recently returned to the workforce, & am thrilled to show my children what my mother bestowed upon me... a role model of a strong, multi-faceted, & capable woman outside of the home, as well as in. I have re-discovered my love of travel over these past few years, as the visitation schedule has allowed me to venture off on long wknds to varied destinations that I hadn't seen for quite some time, as well as to some unchartered waters as well. I have spent time recently in locales such as St... The list makes me smile, as this has truly been one of the highpoints of the "; when I lost the ability to spend every day with my children due to our separation & divorce. I am now super comfortable with allowing my time away from them to be a re-charging for me, & an opportunity to discover the world again from a new perspective! I've learned to ski over the past couple of years, which is a sport that I always wanted to participate in, but never had the opportunity to take advantage of until now. I introduced my children to it as well, & we've had a blast with our new found excitement on the slopes! They have become the best travel companions on our escapes together & we've just booked our next vacay to Turks & Caicos for their Spring Break in March! Hang up the skis, it's time to SUP... another of our fave activities! :)So, what type of man would I consider dating? Who would I think to be an awesome guy to hang with? Here's what I find attractive beyond the exterior attributes...Show signs of intelligence, make me laugh, be a lover of children, have a passion for what you do, & do it well, be a man of the world, not just your couch... I believe therein those traits may lie a jumping off point for us. Photos alone, do not a person make, or increase the likelihood of a respectable match on here. They just show the outer shell, but nothing more. I am not here to date a photo of a handsome man, & I would hope you would feel the same. I'm 5' 10" tall. I like to wear heels, which puts me around 6'2". I enjoy the summer months more than the winter, because there's more outdoor things to do when the weather is nice. I grew up on the water, so I enjoy boating on the sound or going to the beach. I spend a lot of time doing yard work. I'm very independent, so I try to do everything on my own before asking anyone for help. I try to get to the gym at least 3 or 4 times a week. I enjoy traveling, I have family all over the US and some in Europe, so there's alway someone to see or somewhere to go. My favorite food is sushi and my favorite music is rock. This is strange to make a list about myself , but I will do my best. I have 2 daughters , 22 and ***. They are what is most important to me. I have no issue if you have children, unless you dont take care of them. I have 1 large dog who is part of the family. lol Its a great feeling to come home and have her greet me at the door. She is happy to see me no matter what! lolI am a single Mom , of course , and do work alot. I was married for a long time and I do believe in a committed relationship. My divorce did not taint my belief in that, nor am I bitter toward my ex. I chose the divorce after a long time of trying to make it work. I was separated for almost 3 years, and my divorce was final over a year ago.Let me just say that I am happy with my life. I dont need to be your whole life or you to be mine.I love a sense of humor and laugh at silly things . Being spontaneous is great too. It would be nice to have someone make the plans once in a while.I DO NOT DO DRUGS OR DRINK EXCESSIVELY!!! I will not have that in my life. I enjoy a social drink or a beer on a hot day.I love music, not really into rap, dining out or cooking at home. And yes I do love the beach!I love kissing ,laughing , music, chocolate, holding hands, thunderstorms ,barbecues, fireplaces- inside and out ,dogs, long drives to where ever ,good friends and family, reading , movies, outdoor music,tea not coffee,history, etc.Update - I have not been on here for a while , mainly because I felt it was not for me. But Im trying it out again . I recently became a grandmother! Alittle sooner than I would have expected, because I don"t feel like a grandmother and I am told I don"t look like one! lol But my granddaughter is a joy and so much fun!!!I am a smoker, but a considerate one.
