I am an easy going lady and it does not take much for me to be amused. I love life and wish there were 25 hours in a day and that I had the energy to make use of all of them. I am one of those creative people but don't walk around oblivious to what is around me. I am more a morning person than a dance the night away kind but enjoy that kind of evening every now and then too. I am fun to be with, have lived and learned a lot and try not to make the same mistakes twice. But if I do, i don't beat myself up about it. I appreciate the finer things in life but know that they are not the things that really make people happy. I believe that people are inherently good but that what worked five years ago may not apply today or ten years from now. "They" say that all of the good ones are already taken but I think it is just that means that us fishes out there haven't found yet who we are compatible with. Besides I doubt that most of us think that we are not one of the good ones. I am a free thinker and don't dwell on what I cannot change. I day dream and enjoy it; because if we have no dreams then how could they ever come true?I love waking up to see what each day will bring and believe that there is something to learn from every experience. I'd like to find someone who is intelligent, sharp and enjoys good conversation and does not take life too seriously. Romance and passion should be an important part of life and I have been too practical for too many years. It is over rated and not usually a recipe for success. I follow my intuition and know that I am not always right and don't want to be. I like being in the company of people who are brighter or know about things that I don't and are disposed to enlighten me. I am open minded and tend to be more compatible with people who have the courage of their convictions, are a bit edgy...even if it just in private, and truly care about doing right by people because they wouldn't have it any other way. Ideally we could meet for a drink and if we hit it off, then dinner. If that goes well, hey we could try it again and you never know...For me it is more the ambiance and mood more than the food. I don't like crowds or noisy places. I think I prefer second dates because then you already know that you find each other pleasing enough to want to explore it further.

    Are you ready for the great outdoors with a twist? Because not only do I practically live outdoors, but as a college science professor I can be your own personal nature tour guide. One of my favorite pastimes is hiking on the Billy Goat Trail looking for glimpses into the lives of the plants and animals there. To the bemusement of my friends and fellow hikers I have often danced with joy at the site of a slug munching a shelf fungus or an opportunity to learn more about the mating habits of cicadas.I am also a huge fan of swimming in the ocean eyes open looking for a cool jellyfish or perhaps a sting -Despite my scientific side, I can downright silly. Most summer evenings I can be found in the pool with a circle of my closest friends cutting up until we laugh so hard we’re getting water up our noses. (I think the lifeguards have finally come to realize we are not actually drowning.) I also love joking around and playing with my nephews, as it is a great excuse to continue climbing trees. (I was very tickled when my seven year old nephew recently asked me if I was a teenager!) I find any movie with Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell wildly funny.My guy is warm, affectionate, family oriented, and dog friendly. He loves the outdoors, traveling, and has a positive outlook on life. He is intelligent and enjoys a philosophical conversation, but has a sense of humor as well.’ So tell me about you and what you enjoy doing? Where would love to travel to?
