I'm easy to please, thoughtful, caring, hardworking, down to earth, and I have a good sense of humor. I like the simple things in life like the first sip of black coffee in the morning, watching the sunset, star gazing, or watching the waves at the beach.I love being outdoors and it doesn't matter if it's working around the house or going kayaking, fishing, (I would love to learn to surf fish) camping, long drives along the coast or in the back country, walking on the beach, playing at the lakes, or attending local events. I like to get out on the weekends and have fun.I also like going to the movies, people watching, going out to breakfast on Sunday mornings, browsing through antique stores or the swap meet. (I collect Americana junk such as kitchen items from the 50's.) I enjoy the performing arts, local concerts in the park, or listening to live music at the wineries.I love to cook and bake. Having somebody to cook with is always fun. (I love trying new pie recipes.) In the summer I enjoy preparing food out of the garden. (Fresh salsa, roasted peppers on the BBQ or breakfast burritos or omelets with fresh eggs from my chickens.) I'm pretty handy around the house and do a lot of different home repairs and projects. I have more tools than most women, I know how to use them and I'm not afraid to get dirty. I can work hard in the yard all day and get cleaned up for a nice evening out. I'm comfortable in shorts and flip flops, jeans and boots, or dressing up. I love good conversation. I love entertaining and having friends over for BBQs. I love animals I'm not a big football fan, but I do like baseball and hockey. I listen to a variety of music depending on my mood: country, 60's and 70's, blues and jazz. I also do a lot of the girly things such as sewing, crafts, canning veggies out of the garden, and decorating. I traveled extensively throughout the U.S. I have about 14 more states to visit to be able to say I've been to every state.I'm looking for somebody to share my life with, not take care of me. I'm planning on retiring in ***years and would like somebody to share my new adventures with. Somebody with a good sense of humor, isn't offended easily, has old fashioned values, is respectful, and knows how to communicate. You must love animals! Someplace casual and quiet. Preferably for coffee or a drink, or maybe a walk on the beach.
