I am on this site because I thought it would be a good way to meet new people, make some new friends, and possibly/hopefully meet the guy that will be the Tommy to my Gina. (don't know what that means? just ask :-)I've put quite a bit of time into being a caregiver and am ready for someone to pull me back into the mainstream. I enjoy movies, amusement parks, zoos, car shows/events, walks, drinks and a (bad) game of pool, and pretty much anything in the right company.As far as age goes, it's just a number. I'm young-at-heart, so it's okay to be silly now and then; we all get older, but do we ever have to completely grow up? I'm not saying I don't have a serious side, I definitely do. I just find it important to be able to relax and have fun when the occasion calls for it. Humor is big on my list…you get points if you can make me laugh :-) Speaking of laughing, what is it with all the photos of guys and fish? So you caught one (or two). Been there, done that, and seen so many pics of fish on this site that I feel like the smell is starting to rub off. No offense, I just don't get it (confused look).Anyway, I'm not the best at describing myself, but if I have piqued your interest and you would like to know more, send an *** Members with photos only please...you've seen mine, it's only fair that I see yours... I moved to this area 5+... GO CARDINALS!! I'm comfortable financially, and frugal to a fault sometimes. I'm not cheap, but I do love finding that one of a kind bargain. (Just ask my contractor LOL)I long for that closeness of a best friend that you can tell anything to, knowing that no matter how mad they may get at you, no one will ever hear those secrets.I am a Christian and that does mean a lot to me. I'm not perfect nor do I expect my companion to be. I've only known 2 who could walk on water, so perfection isn't something I seek. I believe that life is too short to hate anyone, even those who may deserve it by some standards. My friends would say that in a crowd, I'm shy at first, but just wait until I've warmed up! I don't drink regularly by any means, but if given the right bartender, situation and group of friends, I've been known to have a few drinks just for fun.I believe that life is precious and sacred, mine and most every one else's. I won't turn my back on a friend, ever. I keep my word and expect the same from others, always, even if the truth hurts.I love to travel, especially when it's faster and easier to fly (think tropical!) , however, I have a convertible and LOVE those road trips, with the top down, as well.At this time in my life, I'm no longer that "athletic build" I once was. So, out to dinner, some drive to a beach, or down by the river, and sit and talk would be fine, maybe a picnic lunch... I'd like the ability to talk and get to know each other.!!
