Ok, so a little about me, not just from my standpoint but also from what others have observed and said about me over the years.I am fun, adventurous, smart, big hearted and beautiful inside and out. I am drama free and balanced. Love the beach, travel, my profession and family. Waiting to write the next chapters with someone special! I love animals and good people. I am dedicated, passionate, and a one man woman. I have a great sense of humor that is a little sarcastic. I like almost all music but prefer classic rock, oldies, 80's music, alternative and this techno has bitten me I love it. I absolutely love movies, I have my favorites usually content that is thought provoking, suspenseful and witty. There's lots more to me but I think getting to know someone face to face is ultimately the best way to see if we are compatible and attracted to each other. cocktail/ coffee works.

I'm a strong independent woman who wears her heart on her sleeve. If I bring you in my circle you can rest assure you will always be a priority. My priorities come in this order: my relationship with the Lord, my significant other, family and friends. I like for things to be spontaneous at times as well as well thought out. It's very important that honesty, integrity, respect be the core values when developing a relationship and for keeping that relationship. I enjoy many genres of music for example, praise and worship, country I like sitting on the beach listening to beach sounds, and the smell of the salt air. There really is so much to do and I look forward to having that forever person to share life's experiences with.

-garde,I never thought it would be this hard,But I'll search 'til I get my wish. I've been in SoCal for over five years now and I am still loving it, but there is so much to see, who knows where I may land. Do you want to hear more? Alright, let's see.... I'm adventurous and like to try new things(sky diving however is not on the list). I've explored various Mayan ruins, white***I also have a fondness for afternoon naps and relaxing at home. I'm not religious at all, but I do appreciate the un-randomness of things and how, when I look back, the pieces all fit together. I just have to learn to be more patient and trust the future pieces will fall into place too. Presently I am the manager of an independent bookstore and I really enjoy helping someone find a book they will love. (I don't read as much as I should shhhhh!)Shall I continue? I've been called a foodie, and I'm not going to argue. Good food doesn't have to be fancy, just delicious. I'm a decent home cook and I enjoy trying new recipes on my grill/smoker. I won first place in a cookie contest once. I am an admirer of details, from ingenious design to the patina of an old wood bar worn smooth by many hands. In my spare time I enjoy playing backgammon. Recently I have taken a few classes on wild edible foraging and preparation. I ate an ant. One is enough. I don't watch much TV except if there is a hockey game on with one of my favorite teams. If I had cable, I would probably watch cooking shows and the Antiques Roadshow, but there is so much garbage on that I can't justify paying for it. My taste in movies and music is diverse. I'm sure we can agree on something, as long as it isn't contemporary country music. I draw the line there :-)I'm attracted to charismatic, witty men who are passionate about their interests. Players and egoists needn't bother, but I'm not what those types are typically looking for anyway. I'm a sucker for a man who can rock a pork pie hat. I typically date outside my race, but it isn't a deal breaker. I want to find someone where we share a mutual attraction and enjoy spending time together. I'm not looking for a fling or a hook-up, so please look elsewhere if that is what you want. I just want to find someone I click with and see where it goes. So, what do you think? I've often thought of writing a more generic profile. I've contemplated cutting and pasting all the common phrases that I see repeated in other profiles, "down to earth" etc., just to see if I'd get a different response. But this is who I am, and I'm not going to fake it. I know I'm not for most men, nor are most of you for me, but I'm an optimist most days, so here I am, putting the real me out there. This is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, care to dive deeper? To me, a first date implies that we have met and liked each other enough at the meet-n-greet to proceed to a first date. Meet-n-greets are usually coffee, except when they are a punk concert or a taxidermy exhibit. First dates however have loads of possibilities!
