About Me

Hello... I have an awesome son who is 12 and I am looking for a FAMILY MAN that can be goofy and loving and intelligent (but someone that can be a little wild too, on occasion). I am heavily tattooed, but that is not all there is to me. I LOVE my son, horses, martial arts, sushi and my family. And I am a proud member of the NRA. I play guitar occasionally. Someone that likes to go the Disneyland/Knotts Berry Farm, the Beach, camping anywhere, making dinner at home with the family. A GENTLEMAN WHO LOVES DOGS AND HORSES :) Movies aren't a great idea because there is really no time to talk or get to know one another. Bar is a BAD IDEA :) there are plenty of things and places to go

Looking for: man. In age: 41-51

At this point in my life I know what I want and what I'm looking for in a relationship with a wonderful man. I prefer a true gentleman who knows how to care for others. Honesty, integrity, and monogamy are the corner-stones of a successful relationship. I'm way past the "bar scene" stage. I love to enjoy the ocean. A great happy hour with a wonderful view is a big plus. I've done a lot of adventurous things for a girl. I like to go out and enjoy life, and I'm very young at heart. I've never been one to follow the crowd either. Would love to spend the day at the park with my man, holding hands and kissing while we wait for a ride. However, I'm not so sure the men on this "free" site are all that serious about finding a relationship. So let's boil it down, shall we? No pic, no response. Looking to hook-up, no thanks. Younger men thinking older women are who knows what??? Keep moving. I'm extremely young at heart. I seriously feel like I'm still 22. But I'm looking for a "Man!" Not a boy. It's been my experience that when a man knows what he wants, he also know how to go about getting it with tact!Prefer an outgoing man who knows how to properly communicate with their partner. It's not healthy to ask a person what they want and then get angry when they tell you what they want. It's also not healthy to be neglectful in a relationship. If you want a loving relationship to last, I believe you have to be at a point in your life where you're confident and secure enough in who you are to provide a solid foundation that will encourage a lasting, loving relationship to thrive. I prefer not to date anyone who is just getting a divorce. I'm not interested in a transitional relationship.Don't get me wrong, I have no thoughts of making a man provide for me financially. I am a successful, financially stable young woman all by myself. But a confident man will enhance that and we can grow a stable foundation together. Coffee or a walk along the beach.

I am separated (and not going back) from my marriage of ten years. We became better friends after the separation than we are as a married couple; on good terms, living apart for the better part of the year. for sure, I'm actually just looking ~ to see what online dating is like and what it's all about. I am new to it and it is rather a different e-scape than I am used to. =]I am a bartender by trade and a massage therapist. Hence, I find it much easier to converse in a manner that allows others to open up. I listen rather well for a native southern Californian. My hobbies are a little diverse. I knit some, read a bit, and I enjoy adventure video games. Being a University student, I don't always have opportunity to spend my time in ways I enjoy, personally. I am open to new adventures, events, and locations. I find happiness in most of my days in whatever I happen to be involved in. I like a wide variety of film, stories, and music. Sometimes, the most low rated movie is entertaining purely for amusement in allowing for us to share in skeptical or sarcastic commentary of our own. Thanks for listening. I am certain I would rather hear about your day.

-garde,I never thought it would be this hard,But I'll search 'til I get my wish. I've been in SoCal for over five years now and I am still loving it, but there is so much to see, who knows where I may land. Do you want to hear more? Alright, let's see.... I'm adventurous and like to try new things(sky diving however is not on the list). I've explored various Mayan ruins, white***I also have a fondness for afternoon naps and relaxing at home. I'm not religious at all, but I do appreciate the un-randomness of things and how, when I look back, the pieces all fit together. I just have to learn to be more patient and trust the future pieces will fall into place too. Presently I am the manager of an independent bookstore and I really enjoy helping someone find a book they will love. (I don't read as much as I should shhhhh!)Shall I continue? I've been called a foodie, and I'm not going to argue. Good food doesn't have to be fancy, just delicious. I'm a decent home cook and I enjoy trying new recipes on my grill/smoker. I won first place in a cookie contest once. I am an admirer of details, from ingenious design to the patina of an old wood bar worn smooth by many hands. In my spare time I enjoy playing backgammon. Recently I have taken a few classes on wild edible foraging and preparation. I ate an ant. One is enough. I don't watch much TV except if there is a hockey game on with one of my favorite teams. If I had cable, I would probably watch cooking shows and the Antiques Roadshow, but there is so much garbage on that I can't justify paying for it. My taste in movies and music is diverse. I'm sure we can agree on something, as long as it isn't contemporary country music. I draw the line there :-)I'm attracted to charismatic, witty men who are passionate about their interests. Players and egoists needn't bother, but I'm not what those types are typically looking for anyway. I'm a sucker for a man who can rock a pork pie hat. I typically date outside my race, but it isn't a deal breaker. I want to find someone where we share a mutual attraction and enjoy spending time together. I'm not looking for a fling or a hook-up, so please look elsewhere if that is what you want. I just want to find someone I click with and see where it goes. So, what do you think? I've often thought of writing a more generic profile. I've contemplated cutting and pasting all the common phrases that I see repeated in other profiles, "down to earth" etc., just to see if I'd get a different response. But this is who I am, and I'm not going to fake it. I know I'm not for most men, nor are most of you for me, but I'm an optimist most days, so here I am, putting the real me out there. This is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, care to dive deeper? To me, a first date implies that we have met and liked each other enough at the meet-n-greet to proceed to a first date. Meet-n-greets are usually coffee, except when they are a punk concert or a taxidermy exhibit. First dates however have loads of possibilities!
