About Me

Well....I am a teacher, a mother, a friend, and a daughter. I am very busy and work very hard but enjoy my free time to the fullest. I love the beach and camping. I have a 5 year old son who is with me 50% of the time. I enjoy a drama free relationship with his dad. We work together to raise our child the best we can. I have several small, but visible tattoos. If that is a problem for you or your mom, this might not work! I also reserve the right to get more! I enjoy and belive in the teachings of Buddhism. I believe that it is a way of life and a way to treat people and not a religion. I love to read and watch some junk T.V.!- Movies are great, and live music is always a kick. I enjoy living in LA and taking advantage of all it has to offer. My family lives close and we are all extremely close to one another. They are among my favorite people and I am blessed to have them. I have been a teacher for students with mild learning disabilities for 11 years. It is the hardest job in the world but I love it and am lucky to have found my calling. I am looking for a grown man who has his stuff together. No works in progress please! I need stability and consistency. I don't lie and I expect you not to. I also want to find someone who can spend time with me and lavish me with attention. Sounds silly, but I have been neglected in the past and know exactly what I want! I am very independent and take care of myself and my son, but I like attention. I don't care if you are rich or poor, as long as you are independent. I am not interested in seeing your six pack unless it is ice cold in the fridge. I also need to find someone in my age group. Sounds intense, but really, I just know what I want! Good luck to all!     Got one! You took the bait ;)Thanks for stopping by! So, the basic rundown of me....I lead a pretty busy life with work, my home and my boys (they are mostly self-sufficient at this point), friendships and social life, and finding time to keep in shape. Most people would consider me to be warm, easy-going and positive...you will usually catch me with a big genuine smile on my face. I have been called a "goofball" on more than one occasion, haha :) Obviously there are serious things in life, but I like to take it in stride and with a little levity. Although I have recently cut back quite a bit, I do love a glass of wine or a cold beer on a hot sunny day. I am pretty much over drinking in a bar for hours though. Finding balance while still getting out with girlfriends and having fun, dancing, whatever, is what I'm going for.;outdoorsy"...I love anything around water whether it is hanging out at the beach, enjoying water activities at a lake or river, or just laying poolside. Just tried stand up paddle boarding and LOVED it. I do own a ski boat, but need a captain! My favorite perch has always been stretched out on the bow ;) If we get to know each other, you bring the jet skis and I'll bring the boat! For exercise, I love to do group classes at the gym...anything where I am moving to music makes it fun. Anything from Zumba to kickboxing to hula, or at home on my Wii dance game! I also like to get out for a bike ride on my beach cruiser (no serious cycling here, lol). At this wise old age (haha), and having been through tough times, I have a new perspective on life. I'm not necessarily thinking I will enter a permanent relationship right away, but I also am not interested in wasting time with "players"...it's kind of like I've been to the puppet show, and I've seen the strings ;) I strongly believe that humility is a virtue. While self-confidence is a good thing, I don't care to be around someone who thinks too highly of themselves or believes they are better than others. An open mind is a beautiful thing. I just thought I'd see if maybe I'll meet someone to connect with, find a spark with, and enjoy time together with. Maybe I will be that for you :)
