I have a deep appreciation and love of the arts. When I am listening to a brilliant musician, or living in the words of a poem, or looking at a sculpture...the world seems like a magical place and everything is possible. The arts reflect society back to us, for better and worse. Sometimes it's beautiful, sometimes it's uncomfortable, but when it's honest? It's remarkable. Fair warning - I'm full of contradiction, and also love pop-culture! I'm a big fan of sci-fi, big-things-go-boom movies, and rom-com. I love classic rock, and worship at the alter of Clapton. ;) Music is a particular passion for me. ...Ok, that and lattes. Espresso is my friend. I am also deeply altruistic, and want to leave the world a little better than I found it. I believe character is what you do when no one is looking. I am a risk-taker, and constantly make choices to challenge myself out of my comfort zone. I have both a creative side and a pragmatic one, and I feel very out of balance if I don’t nurture both. I can talk to anyone, and am grateful for that gift. (It comes in handy more often than you'd think.) I will go out of my way to pat a dog on the street, and my guy has to be a dog lover too. Sometimes I dance for the heck of it in my living room because...why not? I'm endlessly curious about everything, and read like crazy. And? I'm not afraid to be silly and make a goof of myself...which I totally do. ;) I am looking for someone who does what they say, and says what they mean. We support and encourage one another, and are a soft place to fall when the going gets tough. We are the first one to cheer each other on and celebrate the good times. And above all, we laugh together.
