Hi! Here is a bit about me: I am a single Mom, and medical professional, college-educated, financially stable, a homeowner and emotionally secure. I have a teen-aged son who lives with me plus a cat and two dogs. Some of my interests include dancing, nice dinners, good friends, and fun people. I work-out regularly and i do try to take good care of myself. I do enjoy dance and theater and try to participate in the local scene as time allows.     According to meetville, if I want to be successful, I should try this:1. My hobbies include exploring the outdoors including concerts, hiking, and paddleboarding. I also practice yoga and enjoy exploring new parts of the city.2. Goals and aspirations - this would be something for us to discuss on our first date!3. Everyone's unique and everyone's similar. Getting to know each other means we get to see where we overlap and where/if differences can be complementary.4. I still listen to hair metal. I just got a car and it came with a year of SiriusXM - HairNation is making me re-live my youth! I also listen to current pop. I know it's not OK to not like country in TX, so I'm trying. As a genre, I'm still not on board, but there are a few songs I like. :)Here's some more:I do research for a living so I read a lot. And edit. A. Lot. So textspeak (e.g., ru a fn gurrrl) even when texting, drives me nuts. It's probably my biggest pet peeve. I moved here from DC recently, but I've also lived in IN (grad school), VA (more grad school), and CA (my home state).- great weather, outdoor activities, and a constant influx of people from all walks of life who are looking for an adventure (and barbecue!). While the guy didn't last, the city left a lasting impression. I doubt I need another cross-country event to surpass that one, but something original that includes both of our interests is always a great place to start.

    I am originally from TX so I'm a true Southern gal. I try to do as much as I can during the Summer because it's so freak'n cold here in the Winter. :) I've been in MI for 10 years and still have not adjusted to the Winters.....probably never will. I want someone who will compliment my personality and support me in my everyday life. Someone who has integrity, say what you mean - mean what you say!
