Howdy and thank you for reading my profile!I would like to start off by saying that over the last couple of years I have made health and wellness an important part of my life. This does not mean I am hard core about it or a delicate little flower but, it does mean if you have the TV schedule memorized for everyday of the week we are probably not a match...just saying. I have three awesome kids, two in college and an eighth grader. They motivate and inspire me on a daily basis:)A few words used to describe me by others are positive, silly, a great mom, adventurous, sarcastic, freakishly independent (?), fun loving, financially responsible, dorky (teenagers can be so harsh), active, and honest. I hope to find someone with a few of the same characteristics! The motto I have taught my kids and try to live by is treat others the way you want to be treated. Simple but it goes a long way!! In the future I hope to...grow a vegetable garden, learn how to can my veggies, see more of the world, take ballroom dance lessons, get into snow shoeing, buy a motorcycle, join a volleyball league...the possibilities are endless and would be way more fun with a trusty sidekick!!!I very much believe laughter is contagious and life is way too short to sweat the small stuff! What can I say that is totally off the wall, that is different than every other profile that you have read...heaven forbid you read another profile with the same 'blah blah me this, blah blah me that'. Unfortunately, I got nothing...at least for now. LOL. So maybe you'll just have to take a gander at my profile & see for yourself. :)I am very down to earth & easy going. I am very family oriented & have a close family. I am very caring, considerate, & compassionate. I would like to think that I have a good sense of humor (I've been told that I do anyways). I am a very good listener. I will be a shoulder for you to lean on if you need it & I hope you will/would return the favor. I am & always will be completely honest with you. I feel the best things to have in a relationship is complete honesty & communication. I believe that relationships area two-way street & both people involved need to be willing to put in the effort to make it work. I don't believe in love at first sight, but I do believe that you can be attracted to someone on some level at first sight. I don't believe in judging a book by it's cover. Sometimes, you have to 'read' a couple/few chapters to really know if you're going to like it or not. I believe in taking time in getting to know someone...you have to go wading in the shallow end & get used to things before heading into the deep end--otherwise you'll drown. I believe that two people in a relationship should have similar & different interests. This will allow each person to stay an individual, but it also gives you the opportunity to try something new.I enjoy spending time with my family & friends. I enjoy the outdoors...especially during camping season. Nothing better than sitting outside by a bonfire staring at the stars. I'm not into fishing, but I do like to be out on the water...it's so relaxing to me to be cruising around on a boat. I absolutely love the Fall season...the color changes are so beautiful that time of year. I enjoy traveling & road trips...especially when there's no specific plan or direction. Just get in the vehicle & go.I love playing & watching volleyball, watching hockey (my favorite team is the MN Wild--since I'm originally from southern MN), & watching football.; the sidewalk had a little disagreement. :O) I also like going for bike rides, picnics in the park, & going for walks.I enjoy all types of music (well, except for maybe rap & waltzes. I can handle some polkas). I prefer rock & country. I really like listening to live bands.My hobbies would include: playing volleyball, listening to music, playing cards/board games, putting jigsaw puzzles together. I enjoy all types of movies...don't worry, I won't make you watch a chick flick with me. Unless, you absolutely want to watch with me...that decision will totally be up to you. I also enjoy relaxing on the couch reading a good book. My favorite authors are Anne Rice, Nicholas Sparks, &I love to cook & bake, but don't do either as much as I would like too...I don't like to cook/bake for just myself. I'm not a master chef by any means, but I do know my way around the kitchen. I like going out on the town for dinner & drinks (or dinner & a movie), but also enjoy a quiet night at home.I have come to realize that life is too short to dwell on things that are out of my control. That I am the only one in charge of my life. No one should ever make you feel like you don't matter. Nobody is 100% perfect, but in someone's eye's you are perfect for them & vice versa.I hope this gives you some kind of idea about me & my personality.
