I enjoy occasional evenings out exploring the city. I am liberal in my politics but more old fashioned in my personal life. I also enjoy casual nights at home relaxing. Now that my professional career is at a good place, I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew and experiencing activities that are great with kids...I went to Disneyland this year and had a blast! Also will be researching my family genealogy this year in anticipation of a future trip some day to Germany to see where my ancestors came from. I recently finished watching House of Cards on Netfiix, which I really enjoyed.I am looking for a long term relationship with someone who wants to share similar interests and introduce me to new experiences that I have not been exposed to. I love a simple first date that allows for getting to know a person. In the summer, having a picnic in the park, hanging out on State Street or at the Capital or going to Concerts on the Square are some of the activities I like to do on a first date. Of course, nothing beats an ice cream cone at the Union Terrace during the day, or maybe a nice wine at a wine/martini bar downtown in the evening. I think a first date should be very casual and comfortable so both of us would feel relaxed.

I moved here from DC recently, but I've also lived in IN (grad school), VA (more grad school), and CA (my home state).- great weather, outdoor activities, and a constant influx of people from all walks of life who are looking for an adventure (and barbecue!). While the guy didn't last, the city left a lasting impression. I doubt I need another cross-country event to surpass that one, but something original that includes both of our interests is always a great place to start.
