About Me

Hello, I am a single mom of a wonderful almost fourteen year old boy. So, if you don't like children, I am not the one for you. I am also not on this site just looking for a "hook up". I am looking to meet someone to date and if it turns into something more than great.

I'm very easy going, and not the clingy or overly emotional type. I'm very independent and don't have a lot of time for the whole dating scene. I think it's crucial to start out slow and see where things go- I'm quite content being single... It would be nice to have someone to enjoy life with but honestly, I'm not willing to settle for just anyone. It will take one hell of a guy to capture my heart since I am content with my life the way it is now. Im not sure about this whole online dating thing, but figure I will give it a try... It beats hanging out in the fruit section at the grocery store, ok i just lied... I would most likely be hanging out in the junk food section! I sometimes like the finer things in life, but purchase them myself, I'm not the type that expects men to buy me things or pay my way. I like to dress up occasionally for a nice dinner but can have fun at a dive bar, on a patio or anywhere I go. I also love to just hang out at home in my Yoga pants and watch football, hockey, drag racing...and an occasional chick flick of course. I absolutely love drag racing, I went on tour with John Force for two years and then worked for other Pro NHRA drivers for five years so all the race teams became like a second family to me. I'm still in contact with all of them and go to a few races each year...I can't stand NASCAR racing though. I've been super busy but can't complain one bit, working from home is the best!! My photos are recent, If you dont have a photo, i wont reply.. I need to know who im talking to. If I don't respond to your message, then I'm not interested. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but don't have time or energy to respond to every message. Something quick... Like appetizers and a drink- that way if there's no chemistry neither of us have to fake our way through a long date. Hahaha

Dance like no one is watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like no one is listening, live life like it's your last day on earth! That is my nature! I'm open minded and patient. My nurture makes me a little shy and guarded. But around the people that I am at home with, I am a little crazy and love to dance. I also love live theater, but feel just as comfortable at a pub drinking a beer or sitting on the beach at 4:20... I love, love to travel!! Cruises are my fav and you will find me in the club every nite dancing like a crazy person. But my all time favorite past time is watching my kids perform. They are into musical theater and are a very important part of my life. I'm very new to this and am not sure what I'm doing, but I guess this is a start. I have read alot of people on here say they don't want any drama. I'm not a game player and I'm very real. I'm sometime too open or honest for my own good. And I hate liers and manipulators. But I do have drama in my extended family, business and life. Can you really avoid it these days.

OK...a few random thoughts about me. I am looking for companionship and some fun that could lead to something more serious. I really enjoy relationships and the richness they have to offer. I am interested in meeting you & discovering what makes you tick and adding value to your life in some way. After a few years of dating I've noticed that I'm at my best if I'm with someone who is laid back, physically affectionate, and willing to draw me out a bit (not that it is that hard, but I appreciate the effort). I connect well with people who have a sharp sense of humor, are well read, and like to play around with ideas...but somehow don't take themselves too seriously. I have a pretty strong sense for the aesthetic. Food, theater, music (I'm drawn to alternative/folk rock) that has subtlety mixed in with the right company is a definite turn on. Getting lost in sensory appeal for a while is a great way to escape for a bit and chill out...don't you think?I'm not a hardbody or some triathaloner...but I like to be active. When there isn't a blizzard going on, I like to hike trails. And in the summer, the kids and I live at the beach...swimming, climbing stones, exploring the eddies, making sand art.I am a librarian at a school, and recently earned my my administrative degree. I like schools and think about how to improve them a lot. I love hanging out with people who enjoy what they do or are feeling good about what they would like to try next...I have three kids under 14. They are funny, intelligent, creative...good company. You don't have to want to parent them, and in fact, very few people I've dated have met them, but somehow I'll know if you cringe when you hear them sword fighting while were on the phone. They keep me busy; yes, I'm the woman pulling up to the stop light drinking coffee as I brush my hair, throwing granola bars and toothbrushes to the backseat as we drive to school. The kids stay with their Dad every other weekend which is how I get my free time.Things are peaceful around here, but all work and no play makes mom a bit crabby. :) Go for dinner, drink wine, and laugh a lot...it is not what we do, but how we connect as we do it.
