About Me

I'm constantly bewildered by the cruel joke of heterosexuality. Why am I drawn to and attracted to the opposite sex when it appears that everything about us is, indeed, opposite? It seems that men are more suited to living with men, and women with women. So why are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (please pardon the pun as I believe I've just answered my own question while philosophizing). I am sort of a walking contradiction in that I love people but am sort of a loner. I'm a little bit country, but I'm also a little bit rock 'n' roll. I love to go for a long hike in the woods with my dogs, but when I get home I might blast some Radiohead or Pink Floyd... or Johnny Cash. Then there's big band music! So much to choose from...I like social gatherings but I'm more likely to enjoy doing something productive. Most of my hobbies entail solitude. Things like painting, writing (screenplays mostly), hiking, biking, hanging out with my dogs. Very dedicated to my dysfunctional family, as well. I'm not a huge fan of television but do like public TV and a few cable shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I could watch that show for hours. Also like Mad Men and a guilty pleasure is "The Bachelor". I can be too serious/cynical about life sometimes but when my mind is free from worrying about my family, my friends and the planet, I can be a hell of a lot of fun! I love to laugh but I also can appreciate a peaceful Sunday morning drinking coffee, listening to music and reading the paper. (One stripper said that a raisin was once originally a pickle--I'm sorry, it's cruel but it makes me feel better about myself!) I'm a pescatarian and would prefer someone that's not big on eating meat. Also would love someone who is outdoorsy and more of a homebody than an adventurer.I've been told I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Maybe you should be a lesbian trapped in a man's body? First date should always be quick and painless, like ripping off a band-aid, just to see if there is chemistry. A quick dinner/drink or lunch is preferred. If we make it to the second date, I'd like to take a day trip to a city I've never been to before (provided I'm driving so you can't try to kidnap me, only to be seen again on milk cartons--Have you seen this girl?) and explore the local culture. Restaurants, shops, art museums, plays, etc. If the day goes well, the drive back home exchanging time on the iPods (which we'll bring on the first date, of course) should be titillating!

Hi, I'm Carisa. I am a registered nurse and work for the state of PA and am fortunate to love not only my profession, my children and family, but living life itself:)! I enjoy traveling by myself and with friends and family and somehow usually find myself at the beach in my spare time. I enjoy walking and love country music because the lyrics keep life real. I enjoy the water and all forms of water activities all year long and enjoy skiing downhill at an intermediate level during the winter months. My family, co-workers and friends mean the world to me. I look forward to meeting an honest hard working goal and family oriented fun loving man:) Something active so if the conversation dies down it will still feel comfortable for both of us:)

Decided it was time to revamp my profile a little. With that said.. I am who I am. I am a sassy, short, sweet, woman who is looking for a life long partner. I am extremely picky and hope you are too. I have been going through a few struggles lately but will not let that interfere with finding someone to support me in my life. I am not looking for your money or anything like that. It would just be nice to have someone I can talk to about things without judgement. I am making all the necessary positive changes but even those take time. It will all be worth it in the end.I have decided that I am not giving up on finding someone who I want to be with and obviously who wants to be with me. You know when it is there and when it is not. I love to spend a lot of time outside unless it is ***out and there is no water to jump into. I am generally a little on the passive side but will break out of my shell for the right person. I like to do a lot of different things. Sometimes I want to go out and be crazy and other times I love staying in and watching a movie. I love my family and friends and enjoy spending as much time as I can with them. As for music, pretty much anything minus classical and some rap. It all depends on the mood. If you want to know more just ask. With that said, men..please...***Don't smoke! ***Don't be married or separated. ***I do not like men who are overweight or underweight. I like the in between.***I don't mind social drinkers, but if you drink everyday... forget it.***Breath, body, etc.***No anger issues and no negative baggage. I need positives in my life right now.If you feel that you might be interested in getting to know me better shoot me an e-mail...if I don't respond I am NOT interested in you. This is the "do we click date" so make it fun.

How does one describe him or herself without sounding vain? This is likely the most challenging part about this. I could say I'm fun, like to laugh, stable, honest and genuinely nice person but it seems everyone says that. What is it about me that makes me well, me? My friends say that I tell it like it is, I'm not going to sugar coat anything, it is what it is. I'm a smidge on the sarcastic side and really like to just enjoy life and everything it has to offer. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason, things go wrong so you appreciate them when they're right and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.I am looking for someone that is honest, stable, someone that has a strong work ethic but yet knows how to have a good time. Being able to communicate and enjoy conversation and the other's company is important. Someone that can make me laugh and that I look forward to spending time with are the two most important things that I'm looking for in the dating world.
