Do people really read these things ?I am a hopeless romantic looking for my knight in shining armor. I'm realistc though and I live in the real world and not a fantasy created by movies and romantic books. My ideal man would have to meet certain criteria to interest me. These criteria include-* He must be a Christian* He must be gainfully employed* He must understand that my children are vitally important to me* He should be a good guy but have enough "bad" in him to be fun and interesting* He should treat his Mom with kindness and respect ( My Nanny always said you can tell a lot about a man by how he treats his mother )* He should have a sense of humor and be able to make me laughThere are a few things that I will not compromise on. I have learned some hard lessons by experience and I don't plan on making those same mistakes again.* I'm not interested in a smoker. I lost my father to lung cancer at the age of 49. I simply can't be around cigarettes* I'm not interested in getting in the middle of a family drama. * I'm not looking for a one-night stand. If sex is all you want, please move on.* If you are not a Christian, please move on.* I don't expect you to be perfect, but I do like a man who can take care of himself. Please be clean, neat and well groomed.I've lost who I am in the past with relationships. That won't happen again. I am capable of taking care of myself and I've come to realize that it is okay for me to have an opinion and express it. I believe that compromise is essential in any relationship. I also believe that a successful relationship takes a ***% commitment from both people or it won't work. I'm not looking for *** I would like to simply meet a nice man that I am compatible with, start a wonderful friendship and let a relationship bloom from that friendship. I beleive that a friendship is the essential building block of a successful relationship. I think an ideal first date would be to meet somewhere quiet. I don't want a noisy crowded restaurant or a movie where we can't talk to each other. I want the opportunity to really get a sense of who you are..... you get the idea.

I have four kids who are used to getting all of my time and attention. You must be willing to be patient as they learn how to share me with someone else. I think this is a pretty natural thing. I also have a pain in the butt ex who lives to give me a hard time. There would be some work to do in that area too. If you are not strong enough to withstand these storms then you are not strong enough to withstand all of the trials that life deals us. I want someone who is strong, willing to put forth his greatest effort and seek shelter within each other. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. Yes, there will be some tough battles in life, but in the end, those are the times in which we receive our greatest rewards.Update 2: DON'T WASTE MY TIME! If you are just looking for sex, don't contact me. I will not have sex with you until there is a developed relationship and that begins with a friendship. If you can't be my friend, you will never be my life partner because I want my significant other to also be my best friend. Do not send me pictures of your private parts. I only want to see that in an intimate setting in the appropriate time. I do expect respect and to me that is not a sign of respect at all. Do not contact me if you have ever been convicted of a violent crime. Do not contact me if you are jealous, insecure, or have anger issues. Be real!
