I don’t really desire to visit a place twice.....my attitude is that there is so much of the world to see, why would you want to go to the same place??My work week is busy with my kids and teaching and so on the weekends I like to do more low key kinds of things (this is not to say that I don’t like to whoop it up now and then - life has to stay fun and exciting!) This being said, I enjoy trying new restaurants followed by a quite walk around the area. I have great friends who have awesome husbands so getting together with them for dinner and drinks is always a good time. I enjoy attending local festivals such as Grape and Wine in St.). I like watching movies in theatres or in the quiet of my home. I love the music of the 80's and 90's and very much enjoy going to concerts. Jacobs, Collingwood, etc., are fun with or without the kids.The things that make me smile are my kids, my dog, and my students. My kids are my life - I have a 9 year old girl who is beautiful, funny, creative, energetic, and smart. I also have a boy who is ***he is smart, handsome, hilarious, and loves sports such as hockey and football. My dog is also something that makes me smile. Lucy, like all dogs, loves unconditionally - she is always waiting at the door with her tail wagging, excited to see us home. My students also make me smile - grade one is a very challenging grade to change to teach but when I see how much I have taught them and how far they have come in June, it makes me feel so proud.I am happy and content with my life, so I am not in any rush to date the world. Only those with a great sense of humour should keep reading. Not because I'm going to say anything particularly hilarious, but because that quality is definitely at the top of my list. I'm shy at first, but that wears off eventually. If we ever actually meet, I promise to say hilarious things then. I'm an actor and a teacher; I love kids, and though I won't have any of my own I'd be happy to meet someone who does. I'm adventurous and I love to travel, whether it's backpacking in Europe or lying on the beach. Although I'm not going to lie, I'm much better at the lying on the beach part. I'll try almost anything once, except bungee jumping, that just seems like an invitation to chronic back problems. I used to be a volunteer firefighter, and though I never got the chance to actually fight a fire, I did get to climb a ***foot ladder and carry volunteer dead people around on my back - not at the same time, thank god. I read a lot, and enjoy going to the movies or the theatre. My dad was a jazz musician, so I grew up with a very high respect for music of all kinds. I play the piano & guitar and I sing. I'm equally happy to go out and do something fun, or just stay home and have a good meal and watch a film. I do yoga and take dance classes, and I played Ultimate for 4 years. That's Ultimate Frisbee, which is a real sport, I swear. I'm no crazy health nut, but it is important to me that a guy takes care of himself and stays in shape, without being a slave to the gym.; decency and respect towards others; an adventurous spirit; being a good listener; honesty; and lots and lots of money. Ok, fine... scratch that last one. ;) I think an activity is fun - bowling, mini-putt, a walk on the mountain.
