Friends have been on me to try this... so here I am.?..hmm, what to say...,I'm a pretty easy going person. I like to have fun in every sense of the word, not too serious, but no games, either. Carpe diem, as they say... Lighthearted and like to poke fun at most things.After ***yrs of marriage, I am currently separated. I have a beautiful daughter and an amicable relationship with her dad, so I consider myself fortunate. l've been independent my whole life and although I've had my share of tough times, I'm a stronger person because of that. I enjoy the beach, snowmobiling in the mountains, watching the snow fall in silence. I like to go fishing, in the ocean, never been lake fishing.. and don't mind if I have to bait my own hook. I know my way around a tool box, grow tomatoes and basil an make a kick ass meatloaf...I've worked in the financial industry for 15 years and take my job very seriously. I am respectful, hard working, but know when and how to relax and enjoy the good life. I would love to meet someone who is comfortable with who they are, knows what they want and what makes them tick ... and who can hold onto to that while having a relationship with some one else.. as a friend or down the line, something more. Someone who has hobbies of their own and appreciates a good home cooked meal. A good sense of humor and lots of wit is a plus. I can handle sarcasm and have been told I dish it out pretty well. Not sure if that is the most attractive quality in a woman, but the warning's been given!I don't consider myself high maintenance. I'll hang out and watch the game in my sweats but am a girly girl too and like to get dressed up for a night out. I'll eat almost anything... hold the beans, liver and ketchupI can play flute, the piano and a little guitar - music is very important to me - we can swap playlists before we meetI don't care where I go on vacation.. I just love to get away from the 'normalcy of it all' (camping out in the backyard would work!)Not a big movie goer.. rather watch in the comfort of my own homeI am still on the fence and not 100% sure of this, but you never know unless you try.... After a phone conversation, I think it should click on where to go/what to do. Not into the pressure of a first 'date', so something fun... like crashing a wedding or something!

This being said, I enjoy trying new restaurants followed by a quite walk around the area. I have great friends who have awesome husbands so getting together with them for dinner and drinks is always a good time. I enjoy attending local festivals such as Grape and Wine in St.). I like watching movies in theatres or in the quiet of my home. I love the music of the 80's and 90's and very much enjoy going to concerts. Jacobs, Collingwood, etc., are fun with or without the kids.The things that make me smile are my kids, my dog, and my students. My kids are my life - I have a 9 year old girl who is beautiful, funny, creative, energetic, and smart. I also have a boy who is ***he is smart, handsome, hilarious, and loves sports such as hockey and football. My dog is also something that makes me smile. Lucy, like all dogs, loves unconditionally - she is always waiting at the door with her tail wagging, excited to see us home. My students also make me smile - grade one is a very challenging grade to change to teach but when I see how much I have taught them and how far they have come in June, it makes me feel so proud.I am happy and content with my life, so I am not in any rush to date the world.
